  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My Dad was 15 years older than my Mum but their marriage lasted 37 years, longer had he not passed over. They courted for several years before that so the answer is YES it can and does work. He was a drummer too, in the Jazz tradition though.

Just remember though, the farther away in age you are, the less you will have in common.
That depends... I've never had much in common with people simply due to age. Even as a kid, I had older friends and younger friends. Things like similar interests, hobbies, shared life philosophies etc. are important too.

I agree with this. If you two have a lot in common, and you're both mature (and adults, which is the case when she's 20-25), you're in love, and not committed to someone else, then it is OK - age doesn't matter that much.

My husband is ten years my senior and I met him when I was 27 and he was 36. We get along great, we're soulmates, totally compatible.

Oh, and I've always been attracted to older men, I've never been interested (romantically, that is) in guys my age.

I don't see there being any problems as long as you're both at the same level of maturity.
hmmm a guy in his 30's dating a mid 20 yr old. I would say their maturity level is equal
