Just curious -I recently deleted some of what I consider my funniest posts ever in a thread because my wife informed me that some people would take it seriously, and report it, but it got me thinking...

...Is there room for comedy in the spiritual or religious atmosphere? Or should all things be serious?

Looks like we both found ourselves in a similar predicament in that thread. I had posted a clip from a Louis CK bit about being white but then deleted it just to be safe from any staff action. (Thank you to @Go Braves for the heads up!)

I wish we could be a little more grown up around here when it comes to things like bad words. I can totally understand insults not being allowed but most "bad words" aren't used in an insulting manner.

I hear you... I've only reported a few people, but that was only after I personally asked them to stop discussing me, personally, in a seriously negative light -and the requst was denied.

...But as far as comedy goes, I'm all for it.

Most definitely. It helps maintain sanity when dealing with the seriously skewed areas of the spiritual/religious atmosphere.
