yes but let be honest - what has that got to do with anything? thats just being picky. that argument only works because of double-negatives. ok then Freak4JC, is there anything REAL that He can't do? He can not sin. It goes against his holy nature.

If God is truth, then if He was to lie, He would no longer be truth. It's not that He choses not to lie, it's that He can't, as it is against His very nature. Simular to saying we chose not to fly (as in Superman), or we chose not to leap over tall buildings. It's not a choice, we can't do it. Do you really think that God, the forgiving God, would not allow people a second chance? Even Satan - if Satan wanted to be forgiven? It wont happen - but if He did! God can save an atheist for the same reasons - He is forgiving. Are you saying that you have to know God to get into Heaven?
Yes, except we arent God! Yes if God was to lie then He would no longer be truth - but He has chosen not to and so he is truth. If you want to discuss nature - it is God's nature not to lie, so He wont. But that doesnt mean that He can't. I think God could sin if he wanted. But he wont b/c he chooses not to.
He probably doesnt even THINK about sinning.
His thoughts might dwell on the defeat of sin, but probably not on Him actually sinning.
But His intricate ways are not known by me.

God can not lie. God can not sin. God is not a man. Light can not be dark. Some people have a hard time grasping that God's nature limits what He can do, without taking away anything from His power or being.

Yes but metal - I work at the Hilton, but if I do something really bad I will no longer work there. There is nothing that means you cannot change! I believe that if God WANTED to sin then He could - only he doesnt WANT to so He doesnt.hotmetal said:

Everyone is putting earthly restraints on God in this argument.
God is outside of time, outside of this world. Laws that apply here, do not apply to him up there. If God was to become Proud, he could not, because he cannot exalt himself above himself... since there is noone higher than him. He cannot break the sabbath, because he is outside of time. etc etc.
Thats something to think about.
