Matthew 25:45-46 "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

How can God sin against God. Would a sane man do something bad to himself.

1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.

James 1:13-14 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.

There is nothing God cannot do.

Good Q Rev, but simply to answer

God can do anything he choses to do. We know this because God is moral. We are created in God's image. It was only after Adam and Eve ate of the forbidden fruit that they learnt of Good and Evil.

God chooses not to sin. If God could not sin, lie, act immorally why would he expect us to try to live a moral life. He would not expect us to be able to resist temptation if he had never had to do it himself.

God chooses to be moral. He chooses not to change. He chooses to be just. By looking for things God cannot do we are imposing our understanding and limitations on him.

God is the Trinity:
God the Father
God the Son
God the Holy Spirit

Another Trinity applying to God,
Omnipotence: God has infinite power
Omnipresent: God is in all times and in all places
Omniscient: God has all inclusive knowledge

AWESOME Thoughts

My mind is not big enough to take in the full impact of God. Is yours?

Can God make a rock that He can't lift?
One of my old college english professors and I used to talk about this paradox of a question for hours after class. Because he could pretty much lift any weight, but he could also make anything with more weight than he could lift, but then he could lift it...and on and on...

wasnt Jesus tempted
and yes i know He was just a man then, but He was still God
He chose to be a man, He could have at any second done anything, or became God again, but He chose to live and die as a man
being tempted is not sin , giving into it is

?? this interests me. What is the definition of what 'can' be done?

don't be recursive, now.

curious, since presumably God created the laws of physics and geometry, can He break them?

It seems to me that the word "can't" do implies failure; i.e. is there anything that God could try to do and then fail at it.

I would say that the only things that he won't do are the things that are opposed to His Nature, or things that he has decided not to -usually to our benefit.

So, God can't fail. Haha. there's something He can't do! LOL Or...die.

It is better to say won't even in these examples I think.

Wow....my mind hurts now. Thanks! ;)

If this was already said...sorry.

Everyone is putting earthly restraints on God in this argument.

God is outside of time, outside of this world. Laws that apply here, do not apply to him up there. If God was to become Proud, he could not, because he cannot exalt himself above himself... since there is noone higher than him. He cannot break the sabbath, because he is outside of time. etc etc.

Thats something to think about.

God Bless, metal.
Nice point metal :D

the words and the definitions of 'circle' and 'square' are just man-made. so God can create any shape that He wants -it doesnt have to fit the rules of shape that man has created...
