Yes, it would mean that everyone who took part in this thread would still be here and willing to continue the discussion, which the majority of them are not.
So a point can only be defended by the 'generation' who made it?

I thought truths were timeless?

Let's give AV the benefit of doubt here. Maybe the thread was created yesterday with seven years of embedded age?

Umm no.

It's too bad a simple question like this can't go w/o ridicule, isn't it?

Yes, it is possible to deal with such a "simple question" without ridicule. But it gets really difficult when guys like you, or dad or JohnR7 are involved.

There is a simple question. Dad would call it "ridiculous so-called". JohnR7 would have posted one of his morphed pin-up-girls. And your answer to my last "simple question" was "Goodbye".

There is no talking with you. There can even be no learning from you. You are not willing to listen, you are not willing to teach.

All you do is preach... and react offended when people disagree with you.

So we are left with three choices.

1) Try on to have a serious conversation with you. But even the most patient of us wears out sometimes.
2) Leave it be. If I can ignore dad and dove and AoS... I can ignore an AV1611VET as well.
3) Laugh at you. Laughing is good for your health.

With this post, I´ll switch to option 2.

You say of AV1611VET:

There is something to be learned from AV1611VET, dad, Agonaces of Susa, Mark Kennedy and other intransigent fundamentalists on this forum. (JohnR7 was a troll. He just liked to jerk people around. he admitted as much, at least once.)

Until I came to this forum, I never dreamt, I could never have imagined that any person capable of coherent speech, a literate person, able to use the internet, and outside of a mental instititution, could be so completely irrational.

On a commercial airliner, there is a black box, which can survive a tragedy and provide clues as to how it happened and how it might be prevented in the future. Perhaps, somewhere in the scattered and chaotic wreckage of what was once a human mind there is some clue that might prevent future tragedies.

:sigh:

If you put it all on a scale, all the good science does compared to the harm that science does, what do you think is going to happen? Will the good outweigh the bad?

Now, project that out into the future. What is going to happen, if a day were to come, when the scale begins to tip in the wrong direction, and science is now doing more harm then good, and harming more people than they help?

Daniel 5:27
Tekel; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

Well, I have a challenge for you -- next time you get a serious illness (and it will happen soon if you're really 58), oh say like a heart attack or cancer, make one of two choices -- 1) go to church and pray or 2) go to the hospital and let science help you. I bet I know which one you would choose, don't I? "Science can take a hike" Yea, right... I think I know which is doing the most good in society (hint -- it ain't God or religion).

The dangers of necroed threads... you might try to converse with people who are no longer around, in more than one sense.

JohnR7 hadn´t been posting here for a few years. There had already been a period of longer absence for him - when he came back, he told us that he had had a heart attack, and was barely saved by emergency reanimation. If I remember correctly, it didn´t took long before he attributed this timely salvation of his earthly life to God.

I guess the second heart attack got him good.

Either that, or he is still around.
