CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There is no point in being bitter. God doesn't want that anyway. It's His will. We have to accept that all is His will and His will is perfect. It is what it is. I count the blessings and there's many many blessings. I'm sure there are for you as well. It is what it is. Faith gets you through.

Well said bene. It is indeed faith that gets you through, and onlt faith, ultimately. For me, I have to lean on Him alone because for me, my family is not there and I have no real friends, as we had moved here not too long ago. My family in fact cause a lot of hurt and pain, so I am alone, and as you have probably realised, with a hysband who is controoling and unsupportive and who is able to control because I need him for absolutely EVERYTHING now. So he CAN control now.
BUT I have you all in here, now, and YOU are my blessing. I value each one of you. Please stay with me. Many of you have your own particular crosses too, but we will all get through it together. I am sure of it. With faith and hope and trust we can do anything ( not necessarily,physically in some cases, but spiritually) .
Thankyou bene for your response. Yes, it is no good being bitter. I think, for myself, what I struggle with is fear. It has always been my biggest stumbling block. That comes from my background. Mi have to try and fight that and with God's and your help and companionship I will win through.

CaringBrit, of course we are real friends but I can't get over the bridge to you any more because somebody has to bring me, and phones are a bit difficult because my husband lustens and gears everything and makes noises when I am on themphone so that I cannot gear thenother person speaking. We can email though uf you would,like to. I can no longer read or fathom out Facebook where I know I could fine you. Let's give email a try. PM me

Hard as it is coping with difficulties, it is even harder when we face them alone.
I am glad that we are able to give you even a little bit of support--as you know, my brother is in a similar situation, with a significant disability (MS) and vision problems and a difficult, controlling wife. He can't drive due to his vision (and occasional seizures) and has difficulty looking at the computer or using a cell phone. It is so hard to be so far away--I am sure you have some family members who wish they were nearer to you as well.
Praying your new doctor will be able to give you some hope and healing.

Thankyou all. Fantine I am so sorry about your brother and yes as you know I did know about him. No, I do not have any family members who care. Please believe me on that. I don't want to go into it on here, but I have had to duscinnect from my family in the main, because of bad things that they But I will be fine in the end. He is with me.did in thenpast and will still do if givena chance. I AM alone, apart from God, and you my friends. I cannot have friends here really because of his control. I go to Mass and find sustenence in that. I get very low sometimes because I am so alone and isolated.

CaringBrit - let's get all my doctors and hospital appointment s over and we will see what we can do. There is a bus over the bridge, but need to get sorted a bit first as I don't wnt to put my heart rate up any further at the moment as it is quite dangerously high, so am only doing light things right now
