It would have made more sense for him to utilise something which already contained the chemical elements he needed, instead of having to throw away most of it, and then find what he did need from somewhere else.

If it was a miracle why do you believe it? or is that the very reason you choose to believe it? because no one can prove that it didn't happen?
I'm starting to think that people believe in religions for the strangest of reasons with not one of those reasons being that they actually think their religion is true, they believe because no one can prove they are false, they settle for a kind of happy stalemate, it's all about what their mind is able to live with.

Also you must know that there are things written in your Bible that were not written in the earliest copies that have survived, which means the writings were added much later by other people for their own nefarious reasons.
