There's a huge element of Satanic influence in rock music. If you actually read the lyrics to many songs, you can almost hear the devil speaking.

lol, no there isn’t. There is a very small niche of black metal that actually kind of satanic, and there were a bunch of bands in the 70’s and 80’s who used occultist imagery because they thought it looked cool. That’s it.

Bob Dylan said that he made a deal with the devil, for one. (And he didn't mean that metaphorically.) I would think 'Sympathy for the Devil' by the Stones is pretty obviously Satanic. Remember, Satan is the father of lies, so he's not going to be honest about this type of music.

oh? source?

If a story about the devil is satanic, then you’d better toss your bible.

Neither are the fear mongers who peddle nonsense because it sells books.

Nuh uh, if you play that Pink Floyd dude backwards he's singing about Satan's tool shed.

Rap and pop are the most demonic in 2024. Don't go trashing Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp or the Mamas & The Papas. But yes, some rock is demonic, just like some pop is, but a whole genre can not be labeled as demonic.

Smaller label stuff is pretty good, such as the indie rock genre.

I think some people are confusing "Is Rock Music Satanic" with "Does Rock Music Feel or Sound Satanic."

I watched a few videos a couple years ago from a documentary from Good Fight Ministries called "They sold their souls for rock and roll." It was an eye opener IMHO.

Did somebody rewind the clock to the 1980's and not tell me? Because if so, I'm on board for this.

Maybe we'll get a remake of Footloose out of this.

Thirty years ago when I was first born again Christian I bought into the spiritual warfare that was preached. I remember it was said that if you played Stairway to Heaven backward you could hear the devil, It was easy back then because we still had record players. I focused on the invisible boogie man in every aspect of my life; if anything bad happened, it was the devil. Today I realize that evil are in all of mankind and some are better than others at restraining it, believers and nonbelievers alike. While we worry about music the devils system is in full play right now.

The devil is here to kill, steal, and destroy and it is said that loving money is the root of all evil. Today, I realize it's true just follow the money. Corporations include media, government, and some individuals manifest their evil by their actions. Big tobacco kills, steals, and destroys for their greed, and now big sugar by manipulation of scientific data.

The government bends to the will of these same corporations through wars and policies for tax dollars because of uncontrolled spending. Not many trusted medical sites tell you the effects of sugar and added sugar in our foods. manufactured wars are a money-making gig for many corporations and the food industry. The FDA is not warning you about the effect of too much added sugar in our foods and the consumption of sugar. Does anyone wonder why health in America has declined to epidemic proportions in the last 30 years?

Here is a short video on the System:

Then you have to look at the ultra-rich and their actions, the Davos types even Trump it's all about profit. Then you have to wonder why Bill Gates is buying a bunch of farmland in America and his support for Apeel Sciences creates a coating to preserve produce with questionable chemicals on organic produce.

While we can choose to listen to certain types of music we can not change The System of the devil until we recognize it.

It took a while for me to realize what's bothering me about this topic. "Is there a satanic element in Rock Music" can be implied as meaning that this element doesn't exist in other music, and right off the bat several C&W songs came to mind. I think the answer then is yes, there is a satanic element in rock music just as there is in all music. That doesn't mean all music is satanic, only that it can be corrupted like anything else.

Y'know, one would be hard pressed to insist that he or she absolutely has to refer to the Bible in order to discern the different between songs from a band like, In This Moment (e.g. "The In-Between"), from those of another band like Stryper (e.g. "The Valley").

It's...really....not...that...difficult...to...discern.

Nowhere does he suggest he made a deal with the Devil.

It sounds to me like he was using a euphemism for God, not Satan.
I don't think God makes "deals" for fame and fortune. Also he referenced "Chief of this world" referring to John 14:30.

I saw that too. It makes you actually listen to the lyrics after that.

If you read about Dylan's history, he struggled with addiction in his younger years and had a conversion experience in the 1970's. Neverthehless, his religious identity is very complicated (born to a nominally Jewish family, vaguely Christian in the 70's and 80's, etc.), and he keeps his beliefs close to his chest.

That puts the "deal" in perspective. We're probably talking about 12-steps type spirituality, not a pact with Satan.
