I enjoy charmed. But my mom, who is a devout Christian, says that it is Satanic. I am a Christian as well, and I don't want to watch anything that is Satanic.

Spiritually, you are what you eat. If you consume entertainment that glorifies sin, you are polluting your soul with Satanic garbage inspired in the pits of hell. We are to take every thought captive to obey Christ; we are to have the mind of Christ. You can't have the mind of Christ by consuming the things of this world, but only the things of God. It doesn't matter if the entertainment is fictional; what are the ideas behind it? Is sin treated as something other than sin? Then it is from Satan.

A question I like to ask is, if someone baked you a batch of delicious cookies, but included a pinch of rat poison in them, would you eat them? If not, then don't consume entertainment with just a little bit of sin mixed in. A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

Like I said, I am a fantasy writer. Would I think Jesus would approve of my stories even though people practice magic? Yep. The secular fiction market for YA has been polluted with immorality and I am writing fantasy that is safe and with strong values.

If you want to blanket everything that has magic or witches you have to include all realms of fiction...even Christian fiction like the Chronicles of Narnia.

Here's a quote from someone I found on youtube:

"This is exactly what I thought when I discovered Paganism after being raised Christian. Growing up I found the Bible confusing, I hated going to Church because I didn't feel like there was any point to hearing someone preach and get blasted with loud organ? music and after going to my first funeral the idea of dying scared me.

After watching Charmed and the latest King Arthur movie I developed a interest in Wicca and Paganism and after reading a few books I felt like I found my gods and my faith"

Jesus doesn't approve of shows and stories that lead people to hell. If there are any impressionable minds out there who, after reading your stories, became interested in practicing witchcraft and the occult, do you think the Lord will hold you guiltless?

It doesn't matter if it's fiction or non-fiction; if it glorifies sin, and/or portrays realities antithetical to the truth, Satan can use it to deceive people.

In fiction the Bible doesn't exist. I would rather use it (magic) as a tool to witness with if someone picks up one of my books to read because of the magic listed on a keyword. In my books it's not all really magic anyway, but the Creator showing himself through people in supernatural ways. I don't use the term God because it isn't earth.

How does writing about a false God in a world without Jesus or the bible witness the gospel? I looked on your webpage and facebook page and there is absolutely no way to tell that you're a Christian. You give no glory to God at all; it's all about you and your work. No mention of our Lord anywhere.

Because in a world that is not earth - not our planet, God doesn't exist. That would be like saying Jesus came to save multiple worlds. The concept is not secular. I have just used different names. It isn't a false God.

It is no different than Aslan in Narnia. The characteristics are the same.

I don't glorify sin in my work. In fact, just the opposite.

I give glory to God in my books. It's in the acknowledgment page. It also is listed with the genre on my novel page. Obviously you haven't really looked. I don't make a big deal about it because I don't want to drive people away. As I said, I use them as a tool to witness.

Unless you have read the Tales of Orinda series, you aren't qualified to have an opinion on me or my work.

God is good. Do you agree?

Do you agree falsehood is defeated?

So now, where do you attempt to stand against me, if I proclaim falsehood is defeated? I guarantee you "OntheHorizon", can't.

I proclaim you are falsehood so I can very easily stand against you because you are false.

Anyway... just be nice to everyone alright? You were just trying to win an argument, not discuss with everyone.

It should be reasonable enough why. If you can't be convinced, you aren't a Christian, OntheHorizon. Witchcraft is, in the most simple terms, us not relying on the power of God but on the power of darkness to achieve our goals.

Let's try not to accuse people of not being saved. The Bible says that anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus shall be saved. There is no other way. Everything else is just man's opinions. Yes, Jesus said not everyone that calls me Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of God, but the one who does the will of the father. The desciples asked him what was the will of the father and he said to believe in the one whom God has sent. Of course, I am sure believe means to rely on. If OnetheHorizon calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus, then he is a Christian. He may have beliefs that are deceptive, but it doesn't mean he is not saved. The Bible warns us on condemning our brothers and sisters in Christ, so lets be careful not to do that. A person may believe that aliens are going to take over the planet, but if they have called on the name of the Lord, they are be saved. They may believe the sky is falling, but if they have called on the name of the Lord, they are saved. It is simple. Man is the one that complicates the gospel.

Romans 10:9;13 says that "if you confess with your mouth Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved." Then verse 13 says "for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Everything else is just man made opinions. Why should should you condemn somebody elses freedom based on your own convictions?

I agree to me that only way to sin is if you astray away from god and love it more than god.

I'm not a Christian if I ask why a TV SHOW is EVIL? Show me why TV SHOWS can become evil.

I know what evil is and it exists, a TV SHOW being evil is different.

C. S. Lewis is one of the great Christian idealists of our time! He wrote Chronicles of Narnia! It was full of magic and witchcraft! Are you willing to deny his Christianity like you would my own?

and if you say I am not a Christian again I will report you like white on rice buddy because you can't say that here.

You are a Christian if you have called on the name of the Lord Jesus. Anyone that tells you differently is wrong.
