What Is the Rapture and Is it Biblical?
(Article blocked by paywall.)
"The Rapture" is the name of the phenomenon prophesied in 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17.

"For this we say to you by the word of the Lord,
that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord
will by no means precede those who are asleep.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven
  • with a shout,
  • with the voice of an archangel, and
  • with the trumpet of God.

And the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

And thus we shall always be with the Lord."

That will happen in some fashion, but I am not entirely convinced of the presumed, subsequent scenario.

It's still considered the same rapture. It just so happens that the dead are raised first
Yes but those who are alive and remain before said lifting up went through what beforehand? Martyrdom? Tribulation? Many mistakenly believe they get to avoid the misery.

Which verses are you thinking of specifically?

So your view is posttrib rapture then?

Well I'm pretrib. Luke 21:36 for instance, says:

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."

When does Jesus come?

Heaven. But being gathered and "caught up" does not necessarily mean Jesus descends to earth at that time. That's what postrib seems to get wrong about pretrib camp.

I do not believe it is Biblical, I believe the idea of a "Rapture" comes from faulty interpretation.
This seems to be true no matter what so-called 'rapture' / school/ is being believed in and posted about. i.e. every which way false outnumbers the truth.
