The bible clearly defines the mark of the beast as a physical manifestation on the human body, head and or arm- but if you think it's actually symbolic of something else, well I can't stop you.

Revelation borrows allot of symbolism from the old testament.

This mark being in the forehead or in the hand is nothing new to the bible. In Deuteronomy after God gave his law he told them to bind them for a sign in their hand and front-lets between their eyes. A frontlet is an ornament being worn on the forehead. So the law is to be a mark on their hands and on their foreheads. So this symbolism is not new. A sign and a mark is the same.

I still favor this being a period of time where the devil rises up against us, just like the romans did. They did something very similar: acknowledge our gods or die.

Just as a matter of interest, what kind of commandments do you think it is refering to?

God's 10 commandments. Jesus said that those who follow the commandments of men worship in vain. So in reality they are worshiping men. So if you obey the commandments of the beast you will be worshiping the beast and this receiving his mark.

Think about this, why people focusing on the mark of the beast while there is something said about the seal of God? So do people also expecting the seal of God on their forehead and why not we eagerly seek the seal of God?

Like Paul said,

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession — to the praise of his glory. (Ep. 1:1314)

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. (2Co. 1:21-22)


And on revelation, it's clearly say "those who does not have the seal of God" people who are following the gospel and opposite to the mark of the beast.

They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. (Re. 9:4)

There is but one sin unforgivable...
And the only reason is this:
The Holy Spirit calls us to repent, or seek God in our last hour before death...
If even the last call we deny Him - once we have passed - we can no longer seek forgiveness for not believing.
Thus we are a goner, and separated from Him for all eternity.

By accepting the mark one has clearly forsaken God and committed the unpardonable sin. Thus once you cross that line, there's no going back.

The mark of the beast is to be unloving to others which is forgiveable if you turn from being unloving to being loving,(Ezekiel 18) but if you do not repent you shall perish. Luke 13:3

I don't know what the mark of the beast is, but its not be unloving to people...

I strongly recommend that nobody here accepts any mark on or chip implant for their right hand or forehead. You may pay for eternity.

Another question I've pondered before: What if someone forces the mark on you (i.e., people put the mark of the beast on you against your will?) Are you still liable?

It is unforgiveable and that is one line that we are warned never to cross, implying that the implications of the mark will be made very clear to each single individual, with the opportunity to accept or reject it.

If you consent to it well knowing you are going against YHWH and His Messiah, you will have sealed your place forever.

I believe it will be a tattoo or possible implant, and that we will have to decide whether or not to accept it. If you do accept it, I believe that Satan will possess you in much the same way he overtook Judas on the night of the Last Supper.
