I find *that* argument incredibly silly when it comes to video games in general. You make it sound like anyone who's played Doom or Quake is going to end up a mass murderer with no conscience and wants to chase people all day with weapons. Wrong.

I've played first person shooter games with my friends throughout high school, and never once had the desire to run around with a weapon firing at random. I've also played Mortal Kombat back on the Sega Genesis, and I never once attempted to imitate the moves on another person.

Why? Because, unlike you I guess, I can separate reality from fiction, reality from play, reality from imagination.

I don't go around hurting people on the street, I often want to be left alone on the street and keep to myself.

It's only the people like the ones responsible for the Columbine shooting, or like the person who want on a shooting spree at a theatre, who can't seem to separate reality from fiction, and video games wrongly get blamed.

It isn't the game, it's the person who can't tell the difference between the real world and a fictional one.

to judge in the manner which is recorded in Mathew i would have to judge you to condemnation -which i do not . but to make judgment by discerning what is right and true and dividing it from what is untrue by the word of God is what we are supposed to do .

killing most certainly comes from the heart . so you see ,that since at every turn your own words are in opposition to the words of the lord JESUS i am obliged as a believer in the lord JESUS to correct you that you may listen to the lord in your heart and obey him (not me ) .

and if you truly have respect for the word of God then listen to it and adhere to Him

and i call to remembrance my earlier post in which i made the point

while it may or may not "A sin.". the game itself .. is sin FILLED .

and therefore would be sinful to play it and in violation of all new testament values in regard to righteousness.

it is not a mater of bringing condemnation
but a mater of giving correct and Godly advice in accordance with the scriptures and the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth .

but if anyone is feeling bad in their heart .. that is the lord dealing with you on the matter .. so go to him in humility receive his love -confess your wrong and ask his forgivness as he is waiting to forgive he is longing to forgive he delights in mercy and loves you .

For silverblade, i never said it would make you a mass murderer. Mainly i asked questions, which you failed to answer. My grandsons play it, i don't expect them to become killers. They are not christians, the language they use in that game is nothing i would use or condone. Haven't heard everything they say in it, but others like it use the Lords name in vain and some in ridicule. To me it is no diferent than paying for pornography, and then saying i am against sexual sin. I played some of the early war games, without sex, without profanity, more strategy, i no longer will play them. But if you would like to answer the questions i asked, ....
