They're tough critters to catch though.

Why do I want to watch that Monty Python Movie again? I would post a video, but I think it might be too excessive and against forum rules.

Ishtar queen of fertility still has her tower in the high places.
Considering that she never existed that has to be difficult for her to do.

But if you have to draw a line why not start with the statue of the idol Dianna sent partially over from France to America and named the Statue of Liberty.
My favorite idol Diana was Diana Rigg, aka Mrs. Peel, sent over from England back in the 60s. Such wow.

The Statue of Liberty = Pagan Goddess Diana
Proof positive that some people are really hurting for anything to do.

Well, I just read something someone posted (elsewhere) about how we have compromised the Gospel by tolerating and welcoming the Easter Bunny in our paschal celebrations culturally.
"I'm so very superior to you as a Christian because I don't have any attachment to any stupid cultural traditions that you know about. So there!"

The individual seems to think all Christians to have sold out to the world who in any way promote, tolerate or enjoy the EB and his egg-passing out activities.
Of course. And his/her religious superiority is thereby established.

It is Asheroh, Diana, Isis, Ishtar, etc.
None of whom ever existed, and whose fictitious stories no one seems to remember at all except for some Christians who appear to see them, or signs of them, pretty much everywhere.

Kinda makes you go hmmmmmm, doesn't it?

A bunny that lays eggs.... it is a fertility ritual holiday.
Apparently one unrecorded by history. Those are the worst kind. ;)

They existed enough for monuments, temples, rituals, and sacrifice in their names to occur in the respective empires. People can say the same thing about our God, and dismiss us evenly. No sight =/= no evidence. Isis/Diana, for example, was Nimrod's mother. She wielded a story of fertility, defying Nimrod. Many Christians ignore the history, or dismiss it as imaginary, yet it is the history of Hebrews - whether directly or tangentially.

It isn't just Christians; they are literally common knowledge gods known to many people. Some are still worshipped under different names. If Christians knew or remembered them, we wouldn't be celebrating the spring fertility festival that pays homage to these gods.

No bunny has ever had eggs for children, because they are mammals. The entire image - the entire graven image is an homage to a ancient fertility ritual celebrated in the spring time in hopes of bringing a good harvest. It is not Christian. Pashech = passover, a specifically designated time in the OT, that includes no bunnies, or eggs, or paint, or jelly beans. It was a very specific holy day, and quite drab given the historical context.
