Sun, moon etc in the skies are described from a human perspective, of an ancient writer standing on the ground and looking at the skies. Its not a God given scientific revelation how the cosmos works from some outer space perspective.

If you are an ancient man, not knowing much about the nature, it really seems that stars, sun, moon are lights in the skies and that skies seem to look like a dome in which those lights move, together with birds and rain falling from waters above the "firmanent". You can even see stars falling on the earth and they are very small when you find them.

Are you fishing for pity? Pity for your inability to accept actual evidence as real? If you have to ignore all evidence for thousands of years to justify your acceptance of a short passage in a 2500-year-old text that is sad.

One not even build a spacecraft to see the errors in the text you quote: The presence of the Sun and Moon do *not* divide light from darkness as the Moon frequently appears in the sky AT THE SAME TIME as the Sun. (Occasionally the Moon blocks the Sun in a process that is easily explained by the orbital motions of the three spherical objects (Sun, Earth, and Moon) and whose patterns have been known and used for prediction since *before* that bit of text was written. Sigh.

I will go with measurements EVERY TIME. Just because someone wrote something down in the distant past and a lot of people like that writing doesn't make it true, or even worth consideration.

Why should only you be allowed to lecture others?

Your own verse you used says that the prophecy of Scripture is not of one's private interpretation. You think that Genesis is a prophecy. Stop interpret it privately then and go with the church.

Coming from one who picks and chooses their Bible beliefs, you may have avoided other verses about The word of God.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Science does not need to used, as the Creator is giving the description. Like Rembrandt was to have written a book on his process of painting, there would be no need for scholars to tell people how he painted.

No, the Creator is not giving the description. Your mistake. Cannot you see it? "God created..." - 3rd person. If God was giving the description, it would be "I created".

Christian flat earth believers 'interpret' God's word to say the earth is flat.

Give the same scriptures to 10 people and you may come up with 10 different interpretations!

Personal interpretations have caused wars! Today, we have people claiming that only they read God's word correctly, when, in reality, they are greatly twisting God's word to suit their 'very own' narrow and untheological beliefs.

The earth is not flat. The Bible does not say it is flat. The Bible does not explain God's creation in a full and scientific way.

If you look up at the sun, moon, planets etc, they are all round.....fact. Earth is the same....fact.
Man can prove this as God has given him the ability to do so.

The bible is being greatly misinterpreted by the minority. By the few, who, believe the earth is flat.

Tell me Mr science man, what have you personally observed that proves The Bible creation descriptions should not be believe literately.
