Men were not mere vessels for automatic dictation from God. Men wrote from their human perspective and used their personality and their knowledge to describe the inspired thoughts.-The Bible does not have to be God to state creation truths from God. God is a perfect communicator, if you must because of science, make excuses for the creation descriptions. That is your prerogative, but it is not mine. I believe The Bible's creation account in The Bible as given by God and inspired recorded by man. Science will never cause me to doubt The Bibles creation accounts or try to make The Bible agree with science.
Sun, moon etc in the skies are described from a human perspective, of an ancient writer standing on the ground and looking at the skies. Its not a God given scientific revelation how the cosmos works from some outer space perspective.
If you are an ancient man, not knowing much about the nature, it really seems that stars, sun, moon are lights in the skies and that skies seem to look like a dome in which those lights move, together with birds and rain falling from waters above the "firmanent". You can even see stars falling on the earth and they are very small when you find them.
