  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is the Devil using LGBTQ to destroy Christian churches?

There are certain sins which are such a nature as to be dangerous to others, pedophile comes to mind, and sexual sins are in the same line, as its just like an addiction. They can't control it...
They can't control their attraction to their individual proclivity but there are programs available that do teach people how to break free from the need to act on their unwanted behavior.

What I think you may still not understand that the only sin that may be deemed worse than others in a secular society is sins (crimes) that have a victim

Pedophilia is nowhere near the ballpark in terms of violating the rights of others. Homosexuals engage in a relationship with another consenting adult. A pedophile doesn't even belong in the same sentence as a homosexual other than your personal judgment that both are perverted.

I agree. The two are not comparable.

The devil uses many devices to destroy the church. Christians have chosen to focus on certain sins and ignore others.

There are more people fornicating than practicing homosexual behavior.
There are more people addicted to p*rnography and other stimulants.
There more people who are overweight or morbidly obese.

Sin is plentiful. Some errors are more offensive to the populace than others. The majority seem to focus on areas where they're unlikely to stumble. But the whole is sinful from God's perspective. He doesn't cherry pick.

I'm sure there were gays in Jesus's time, I wonder what Jesus would have said or done ??
It wasn’t practiced openly or condoned in his area. In Roman and Greek cultures, it was out in the open.

This is where God comes into play, He can transform a sinner, if the sinner turns his life over, no matter the sin...
