Is that Fish on your bumper a Baracuda in traffic?

I've often thought about getting a "fish" on the back of my car. Or maybe a christian decal on my rear window. Then I wonder if my driving habits will reflect those symbols. I don't usually get upset in traffic and I would never say that I've experienced the effects of "road rage." But sometimes I make stupid driving mistakes and say, accidentally cut someone off. I don't think that they will necessarily understand, without me having the time to sit down with them and explain that I wasn't being a jerk, I just wasn't paying enough attention.

I can handle people who just make silly mistakes but i have seen some REALLY bad and disrespectful drivers with those stickers. The worst though are the ones that decide that they have the sticker so they drive 15 miles under the speed limit. Just as dangerous as speeding by the way. I hate those stickers on cars. Unless they are really witty. my friend who plays volleyball has one that says, If you aren't serving you aren't getting the point. I LOVE IT!

The thing for me is - how are people going to know whether I've just made a silly mistake or whether I'm a bad and disrespectful driver? It's when I'm in the city that I make such mistakes, and chances are that they've never seen me driving before and don't have a clue who I am. So all they know is that some jerk cut them off or whatever. They have no idea if I meant to or not and never will know.

As far as driving 15 miles under the speed limit, I've been known to do that when I'm trying really hard to find an address I've never been to before or when there's a cop following me. Police cars make me nervous that I'll make one of my silly mistakes so I drive extra slow around them :sorry: Maybe not quite 15 mph slower, but 10 kph slower anyway :o

I wouldn't do that if I were you, Police can still pull you over for "restricting the flow of traffic", but that's usually only when you take it to the extreem. IE, 20+ MPH under the Speed limit. tractors, etc, are of course, immune to this

10 kph is equivalent to about 6 mph under the speed limit :) That's about as far as I drop it to.
