I was surfing on Fark.com and came across an interesting web site in a picture which says that "Star Wars" is basically the work of Satan.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My first thought was that this was some Jehovah's Wittness website or somethig, but anyone who would actually think that Star Wars was anything more than a simple fictional movie seriously needs their head checked, there may not be anything in there.

I dont think its evil, but I think we have to be very careful and guard our hearts when we watch any fantasy/sci fi type movies (or read books) to anything which there is good there is also evil on this earth. satan mimics Gods ways and lures people into dark arts using familiar spirits.

Yes, Star Wars is evil, but only Eps I + II to my knowledge. (I see Ep III for the first time tonight.)
It is evil how Lucas made Eps I + II so lacking in what made the first trilogy so good.

They weren't just "not as enjoyable". It wasn't just the film making techniques or the style. They were horrible.
Lucas could have learned a thing or two (or three, or a million) from the Lord of the Rings films. Things like "characterization", "plot", "dialog", "emotion", etc.

Lucas should have retired anfer the 1st movie and sold the franchise to David Lynch. That way no matter how bad it was people would call it brilliant, instead of the other way around.

There are many people out there who actually believe the force is real, and there are even more who regard themselves as Jedi's. Jediism and the force becomes their religion, "because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God" (Rom. 1:21). I'm a big fan of Star Wars myself but I think it probably has and will continue to send many souls on their way to hell because these fanatics choose to worship it as God.

While I do not believe that it is actually sending anyone to hell, I believe Satan is using it to distract many people and many people are allowing it to distract them. When it is seen for what it is, an enjoyable fictional sci-fi, it is great. It can even be used as a discussion topic for spiritual things, although that is not its original purpose unfortunately.
And by the way, I liked the first two episodes. Maybe not as much as lthe original, but I think they were good. And I thought the characters, especially in episode two, were very well put together. Maybe a little overly dramatic at times, but overall, still great.

Well there are people who practice Jedism as a religion. It's also a bit of a fad at the moment to list Jedi Knight on census forms as a religion. I read in the paper this morning something like 70,000 did this in my country, and an estimated 5000 of these believed the Force was actually real. It's practiced like an Eastern spirituality since thats what it resembles the most.

I just look at the fan recuts of the movie and it completely changes the dynamic of the story. At it's core, the basic elements of what make a fim good has not changed, no matter how much CGI you throw in. Plot and acting are still what drives pictures and this was the problem with the new trilogy. Revenge of the Sith fortunately delivered what the other two films didn't, but there still were some glaring issues.
As for the OP, the people are crazy, there always will be crazy people out there. If anything, Star Wars is a great tool to learn from about selflessness and not giving in to selfishness. But to bad the reality of that concept escapes these people, but I'm sure they aren't the smartest of people. I'm surprised the site is even readable considering the guy probably wrote the entire site by banging his elbows on the keyboard.
