No, but the Ethiopian one is interesting. The canon was settled by a Church council as was the example of the first council so I am confident that God has led the councilThanks. Have you considered other canons as possibilities?

I find myself a bit frusustrated over all the theological stuff. You know, the denominations, movements, cannons and all that. Its like trying to go out on Christmas Eve to buy a gallon of milk. You just need some milk but you end up finding yourself in a chaotic envoronment of traffic jams, people running around everywhere trying to get all this stuff and you end up frustrated and tired, and now you need a bottle of aspirin too.
However then i remember what James said, he said be a doer of the word. I dont need the Christmas headache and the bottle of aspirin, i just need the milk.

I share your pain.

As a Catholic, come Christmas Eve, I'm not looking to go out to by a gallon of milk but am preparing myself for the peace, joy and stillness of Midnight Mass with the rest of my universal faith community. It's understandable that a person with a singular, individual, self-styled spirituality might experience no small amount of frustration when it comes to relating to the larger body of Christianity, but it's the Church which keeps me from being confused by the fog of denominationalism or being 'tossed by the waves of every teaching'.
I suspect the problem you're having is a result from the lack of defining your own dogma and thus you're having a hard time defending it or at least convincing others to accept it. As a Catholic, there is no question as to what is dogmatic and what is to be believed, and even though we are attacked from both outside Christendom and within, there is no cause for frustration but a confidence in knowing that as a Catholic, I have complete and easy access to the fullness of God's revealed Truth.
I pray that you may rest in the peace that comes from Christ.
the Word of God alone should be and remain the only standard and rule of doctrine,
That's not my take on what our brother was expressing. Nevertheless, thank you kindly for sharing your views.

Simply put, I don't share your's or souldier's frustrations. That's the confidence in Christ that comes from being Catholic.
No frustration here, brother. That was not my take on what our brother posted.
Thank you kindly for sharing your opinion.

And i 3rd-ed it...and what i was expressing is that sometimes we all needs encouragement, brother. I was echo-ing our need for less chaos and just the simplicity of quietness and calming and in resting..
like it says in this verse:
"Be still, and know that I am God: " ~Psalm 46:10
and this one:
"in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:" ~Isaiah 30:15
it's no biggie...we can all work out whatever differences or misunderstandings we may find along the way.
Thank you kindly and God bless you brother.
You cannot make a positive assertion and then claim "Well there's no evidence it didn't happen so it must be true!" That's illogical and not an argument for your position. A positive assertion requires positive evidence, or it is simply an assertion. I could say could say "the center of the earth is full of gum balls!" To which you would rightly reply "there is no evidence for that", now if I come back and say "there's no evidence against it either", have I proven my assertion?
I know.Yes, one can hardly fault the Ethiopian canon for having eliminated any possible books, unless one wishes to include truly apocryphal works, as some unorthodox folks do today.

MoreCoffee was contending that the ToC is a dogma which has been added to the Bible. I find it curious that you appear to contradict him.
So is the unalterable fact that John the Baptist possessed seven heads, but that does not make them necessarily true, does it?
I find it interesting that your personal views do not coincide with your personal faith.
