Assumptions can be racist. Like every prejudice, it assumes something about someone else without any justification.
Trump didn't even mention race; his comments though offensive were not racist.
Okay, I’ll bite:
Let’s agree (for argument’s sake) that Trump’s tweets weren’t racist.
What did you find that was “offensive”?
I personally don't find it offensive; but a lot of people obviously did, hence the reaction.
I think you mean to say that almost anything can be misconstrued as racist. Racism after all is imaginary in it's formation. Still I would respectfully add that only the enemy of Truth is served by obfuscating the reality that racism occurs.Everything can be racist in today's crazy world.
The moral Truth is to Love others as you would want to be loved. Trump is no different.even trump?
Any reasoning based upon a falsehood ends in a contradiction.you were saying about hypocrisy?
Okay, I believe you concerning this. But it's still disparaging to whomever you are berating under the label of liberals. There are posters here, like myself, who have carefully taken the time to explain why the President's tweets display prejudice. Regardless of whether these posters are liberal or conservative in their political leanings, your statement that it's crying wolf is not going to be counted as constructive criticism, nor productive in any positive direction. I have said that I don't believe you when you say that you don't care. If you don't care, as you claim, then I would think you would not say anything.nope.
im referring to libs in congress, not cf posters
This pastor says that it is. And he calls out church leaders to label it as a sin.
Who Will Call Out the President's Racism?
Should national leaders be called out on their sins even if they are believed to support 'Christianity'? Or should only only national leaders who are believed to not support Christianity be called out on their sins?
Should the party who called out Bill Clinton for marital infidelity also call out Donald Trump for racism?? Within the realm of morals and ethics is there any reason why anyone should believe Christians have either morals or ethics?
It's not, but assuming that someone born in America is actually from another country is.How is Donald Trump a racist for opposing illegal immigration?
I was once a legal temporary resident of the United States. I studied in New York City for years and obtained a degree from Columbia University. Then I returned to my home country and secured an excellent job with a prestigious American education. The key is that I did it legally. I didn’t cheat the system and do it illegally.
Opposing illegal entry into the United States has everything to do with following the law and nothing to do with race.
Let me clear things up for you.You made the claim “not racist, but offensive”, then walked back on “offensive”, explaining that “but a lot of people obviously did, hence the reaction.”
The reaction was based on the opinion of several people that the tweets were racially-charged.
If you’re not going to argue honestly, why should anybody pay attention to you?
Are you saying to mistake an american citizen for a foreign immigrant is racist? It's not, but assuming that someone born in America is actually from another country is.
if i cared about your concerns wouldn't I be agreeing with you?Okay, I believe you concerning this. But it's still disparaging to whomever you are berating under the label of liberals. Crying wolf is what?
Get real. Assumptions can most certainly be racist. Assumptions that remain untested are the refuge of the ignorant and those with agendas. Assumptions acted upon, by word or deed, before testing represent a prejudice related to the topic of the assumption. At least you can go on denying that now.Assumptions are still not racist. At least you see that now.
Then why not just say “ethnic minorities”? Racists in this country have a history of separating the group they hate from all the rest.
Discrimination against EVERYBODY exists (yes even white people) whether you acknowledge it or not. No matter what race, creed or color you are, there will always be instances where your differences will work to your advantage, and instances where it will work to your disadvantage, (yes black and brown privileges exist also) it depends on where you look. The problem is when people only see their discrimination and neglect to recognize their privileges.
Trump said “Go back to your crime-infested country, fix it; then come back and tell us how it’s done.
I find it rather dishonest when you take only 25% of what he said, ignore the 75% that doesn’t fit within your agenda and try to make your case that way. You need to do better than this.
So what color were Irish people considered? Black people? Brown people? What?
Racism is the belief that one race is superior or inferior to others; and the actions resulting from said belief.
Dear sir, I have studied semantics most all of my life, particularly dealing with propaganda, sophistry, and psychological manipulation. I believe you need to understand that my sincere concern is that Satan is able to deceive people in this world into thinking that they are right, when in fact they are wrong. Moreover, I believe that through psychological manipulation the devil can convince these deceived people, that those who disagree with them, are actually the ones deceived by the devil. This is where conflicts and divisions arise and escalate into gross acts of injustice, and even all out war perpetrated upon one another, simply because of a lie in our minds that we believed, but was never even true. We saw this in Charlottesville when someone felt compelled to drive his car into a crowd of people he hated, yet never even knew.if i cared about your concerns wouldn't I be agreeing with you?
