As a game itself, no it's not wrong, but when you start doing it for gambling and cash then it's not quite an innocent game anymore.Paul-martin said:Is playing poker wrong?, plz share you point of view.

"Do what thou wilt" is a quote quite litteraly, directly from Satanism (or Anton LaVey's version of it). It is one of the most basic "theological" tenets of Satanism. Needless to say, if you're a Christian I suggest that you don't follow this piece of advice.
Paul-martin, playing poker isn't wrong. Playing poker for money isn't forbidden in the Bible either.
Guidelines:
If you feel the need to justify playing poker for money, don't do it. This means that in your heart you actuially do consider it wrong. If you are willing to do something you consider wrong, your heart is in the exact same attitude as when you are doing something wrong. This attitude in and of itself is sinful, even if what you are doing may not be (neccesarily sinful).
"...for whatsoever is not of faith is sin." Romans 14:9-23 speaks on this. Remember that these verses aren't speaking about only what may be forbidden by God, but also how it's viewed by man.
If it causes a weaker brother to stumble, don't do it. (also mentioned in the previous verses)
If you feel the need to win a big cash pot, don't do it. (You'll be on your way to addiction)
If you would like to win a big cash pot, and you don't mind losing $5 or $10, by all means feel free to play. Realize, however, that as a Christian, you shouldn't be using money that should be used for something else (being a good steward). (hint: If you don't tithe now, do that first. If you need food money, rent, you have a friend in need, give or pay that first. Play poker after.)
Paul-Martin it sounds like you might possibly be needing some good advice. I'd advise that besides all of what I wrote previously, you might want to find a good church (Christian), and read the Bible to know what it really says so that they don't take you- either monitarily or morally (not all so called "Christian" churches are good). And last but never least, pray for God's guidance in the matter.
I'll pray for you too. (We all need it).
