Just thought about something else. I was reading the Bible this morning in which King Ahab had conquered the Arameans but allowed Benhadad to live. This displeased God so he spoke to a prophet. The prophet told one of his friends to PUNCH HIM. The friend refused to do it. He told his friend, since you did not obey God then a lion will come and kill you. Sure enough, a lion came and killed his friend.
The prophet went to another person and punched him. This friend had enough sense to do as he was told.
Now here is the
PUNCHLINE
After that the prophet approached King Ahab dressed with the bandage over him and pretended to be someone who was to guard a prisoner who got away and was hurt in the process. Ahab basically told him that he got what he deserved. Then the prophet said that God would judge him for allowing Benhadad to go free.
Seems silly doesn't it? Right there in the book of 1 Kings.
