Ray Bevan did an impersonation of him and Reinhard Bonnke having a conversation at a conference I was at a few years ago, I could not stop laughing.

Doesn't Dr. Cho speak about five or more languages fluently? I know he came to Japan once and spoke very fluent Japanese (a hard language to learn).

I think that might be true. I know he speaks Japanese because I heard him talking about use of time and time management and said that learning languages was very important to him because of the ministry God had for him. He mentioned that if he wants to move into Japan with the gospel he must learn Japanese.

He learned English because God told him he would be preaching in the US.

Hi.It seems silly thats all.Just like if Jesus appeared as a cowboy, with a hat and boots on.hahahaha

Funny. I was talking with a young lady just last night who has been attending our church for over a year and a half. She was wondering about her salvation and I asked her based on Romans 10:9, 10 if she believed that Jesus is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead. She told me she had a difficult time believing in the ressurection. Why?

Because to her it seems SILLY.

Maybe the word "silly" is the phrase of the week.

Just thought about something else. I was reading the Bible this morning in which King Ahab had conquered the Arameans but allowed Benhadad to live. This displeased God so he spoke to a prophet. The prophet told one of his friends to PUNCH HIM. The friend refused to do it. He told his friend, since you did not obey God then a lion will come and kill you. Sure enough, a lion came and killed his friend.

The prophet went to another person and punched him. This friend had enough sense to do as he was told.

Now here is the PUNCHLINE :D

After that the prophet approached King Ahab dressed with the bandage over him and pretended to be someone who was to guard a prisoner who got away and was hurt in the process. Ahab basically told him that he got what he deserved. Then the prophet said that God would judge him for allowing Benhadad to go free.

Seems silly doesn't it? Right there in the book of 1 Kings.

I will stick with the image described in revelation. But it is ok if you do not think a Jesus appearing as like unto a cowboy is not nuts.Big difference to me,than your joke.Thanks.

That wasn't a joke. That was actual SCRIPTURE. The man asked to be punched TWICE. One got eaten by a lion because he refused to PUNCH somebody.

The point is that God does things that seem strange to us. Jesus being dressed like a fireman or a cowboy appearing to someone may seem silly, but it does not contradict nor violate any passage of Scripture. jesus may give different people different dreams and visions and show them different things for a purpose. I thought that Charismatics were supposed to understand that.

Sometimes I read the posts here and wonder if I am on the right forum.

Wait a minute, just so you know. The King Ahab story was about a man dressing up as something. That is much different from the sovereign God almighty appearing like a cowboy.Though some did not recognize him after his resurrection, that is different by far.The bible does not say he appeared in a costume. Also he might have looked the same, but maybe just closed their eyes to himself, until he was ready. The book of revelation describes him as he is now.Dont forget that was the last image of Him portrayed in scripture.Giddyup!hahaha.

What if God appeared to someone as a burning bush, would that be silly? What about appearing in a flame of fire? What about speaking to someone through a donkey would that be silly? What about revealing yourself to someone dressed as a military commander, would that be silly?

The problem is Jeff that you consider Jesus appearing as a fireman as silly and you have a good laugh about it, but the fact is in Scripture, Jesus appears as a military commander, as a burning bush, as a son of the gods. In Mark 16.7 it is clear to say that he appeared to the disciples in a different form. If Jesus can, according to the Word, appear in a different form, why must he be restricted to forms that Jeff doesn't find silly?

I know someone who saw Jesus as a doctor. Maybe that was silly to you, but he had lung cancer and after his vision he didn't have lung cancer. He had 6 weeks to live, but is now living a great life. That is not silly to his wife and children, that is important.

Blessings,
Ben
