When it tends to glorify them or make them appear to be the cool thing to do.

why a chikfilaI'm going to build a bubble town where all we have is Christian bookstores and Chick-Fil-A and Church and the Southern Baptist Convention.
i believe thats referring to the, "and let your communication be yes yes or no no, anything else is from satan" thing because they both use communication, whereas the words in a song arent communication but a complex ideaScripture tells us, "Evil communications corrupt good behavior."
No, but IMO recreational listening to music that glorifies sin and degrades God's creation, including our fellow human beings is a sin.or city pio's said:People tell me that listing to rap and rock is a sin but i not sure. so i want to know what you think of it

i think this so-called "christian music" is the most harmful if any music is sinful. it keeps those who listen to it away from gods real message and plan. when i say christian music, i dont mean hymns or chants, or prayers. i mean the **** that involves the electric guitars and stuff. it gives a seriously impared vision of what Jesus' life was worth. most songs are like "oh jesus i love you, blah blah blah we hold your cross." i doubt anyone listened to this stuff centurys ago and if the apostles were living they would condemn it.
jesus died so we could live life, and these songs focus on the sacrifice, not the miracle.
i doubt jesus wants us to concentrate on the nails going through his hands, but to focus on the ressurection if anything. he died to give life, and that life is not just after death but now.
live it

I am talking about choosing to listen to, and demonstrate your support for, music that glorifies sin.
The style of the music is irrelevant, there is nothing inherently sinful with rap or rock or heavy metal or punk or classical.

Saying that, we should only live in my isolated town full of Christian books, especially Your Best Life Now and then we could sing to Michael W. Smith worship. Oh, I love This is the Air I Breathe. We should then wear only Christian tennis shoes. ( http://www.heavenlygearapparel.com/ ) And then we can buy everything from Christian vendors. ( www.evangeltech.com )
We all know that Skillet is the best rock band in the country and that the Left Behind movies use incredible ground-breaking, premillenial effects. C'mon guys, join me in ChristianTown, located in Lynchburg, VA.
