I'm not seeing what the problem here is. in 2017 he stated something that was his opinion. And I need to see the full context of the statement, but I wouldn't be surprised if it had nothing to do with the Russian interference in the election in the first place.

Of course this isn’t the first time he said one thing to the public while knowing it was not true.



In March 2013, months before Snowden provided the Guardian and the Washington Post with voluminous NSA data documenting sweeping domestic and international communications dragnets, Clapper had a public colloquy with Senator Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat on the intelligence committee.

Wyden asked Clapper: “Does the NSA collect any type of data at all on millions, or hundreds of millions, of Americans?”

Clapper replied, untruthfully: “No sir,” rubbing his head. “Not wittingly.”

3. worked to remove sanctions on Putin allies
4. Tried to get Russian back into the Group of Seven
5. Decided to reduce American troop strength in Europe
6. Abandoned our Kurdish allies in Syria

The brain of a flea - hmmm..... Someone with the brain of a flea campaigned against 17 established and well versed politicians for the nomination of his party. Then - Hillary Clinton, former first Lady, Former Senator, former Secretary of State. The most qualified candidate of her time with a war chest of over one billion dollars and all the Democratic infrastructure behind her - also fully endorsed by the most popular President of our time - who went on the campaign trial for her.

She was out campaigned and eventually lost to a man with the brain of a flea.

Again, we didn’t detect any sarcasm – and we aren’t alone in that – but since sarcasm is subjective, we’ll leave it to readers to make up their own minds about the president’s intent​

Given that the President stated before the world that he trusted the word of Vladimir Putin more than the findings of America's 17 intelligence agencies concerning Russian interference in the 2016 Election, Clappers opinions are shared by many!

Trump's attempts to silence Clapper will be a call to arms for every retired diplomat, cabinet member, general, admiral and former President to come to his support!!
