...have a crush on an anime character?

If there was ever a question in my life that has puzzled me, it has to be this one.

For one thing, I've had a crush on this character for almost four years now. Sure I've had "normal" human crushes in between, but for some reason I can't get this anime person out of my head from time to time. I suppose one can say that this is a "fan" thing, especially when you find your favorite anime character to be the model for the girl-of-your-dreams (I'm a guy BTW.)

Is it wrong to have feelings for a character? Am I going to Hell for liking something that isn't real?

I dont see how that would get you into hell, but I'm a strong believer in my Protestant heritage, meaning fantasize all you want and besides their not even real so it doesnt really matter what you fantasize about Just seriously do not tell us about any erotic fantasies or dreams you might have -_-'

Are Fantasy crushes good at all? Beyond an Anime character? What about Video Game chicks or Celebrities.

I think it is okay as long as you don't start thinking about that person constantly. You have to realize it's just a fun quirky thing and this person will never relate to you.
