  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Do you feel the current presidential administarion has permanently and forever destroyed the America we all once knew.....

....or do you feel that there yet remains hope that somehow....some way.....the harm caused to this country can still be reversed and the liberties which we all have already lost might yet be restored??

If you mean by this that America will remain more or less as it was for the last few decades, why yes. Even if Obama's UHC bill remains on the books we are still light-years away from European social democracy.

President Obama has an international view with the USA taking a backseat to international concerns. Because of this, America will continue to decline. I'm not optimistic that the US can recover no matter who our next President is. I find the leading crop of Republican wannabe's as uninspiring.

IMHO...There are no truly viable candidates...even those who sincerely have a heart to serve the Lord and serve the people…will find it almost unbearable to stand firmly against the beasty of politics. And even if they do manage to get elected and serve according to the will of the people…by their faith and with honorable morals and values…they will be crucified relentlessly in the mainstream media and vilified in the hearts and minds of the people. That scorched earth campaign never ceases…

…Obama, the Left and the mainstream media have never wavered in their quest to refute, defame and discredit any and all who present a challenge to their world view and agenda.

….which is why we put our faith, hope and trust in God...not in man and certainly not in the governing authorities...:prayer:

The hope that we have as we watch the decline and destruction of life as we know it here in the US...is perhaps once we are broken as a nation...then maybe...just maybe.... more people will turn to God when they fully realize how the government has not only deceived them and failed them...but led them deeper into bodage and captivity...and there is simply no place left to turn but to our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus...

The entire world is a chaotic mess on so many levels...and waxing worse and worse every day...as evident in world events...and my thoughts are...it's more than likely much, much worse than the governments and the mainstream media here allow us to have knowledge of. Current events as reported from news sources abroad seem to have a different view on things than what we’re shovel fed here in the States.

IMHO...the problems...and for that the matter...the solutions…do not lie in the hands of any governing authority...as the differences between the Democrats and Republicans or any world leaders….is simply of degree…not kind. And as I mentioned earlier…even those that do not buy into this Ruling Class mentality…will come against forces and establishments that will either beat them down to compliance…or simply neutralize/eliminate them.

The nature of politics and politicians, the governing authorities around the world… and the wealthy elite that pull the strings, support and fund them…

…they are ALL for the most part likeminded in thought and deed in establishing and maintaining a Ruling Class OVER the people and to tighten the grip of bondage of utter dependence of the people on this Ruling Class…not only in our nation…but globally.

And sadly…far too many people are more than willing to sacrifice their liberties and be subject to them for the PERCIEIVED benefits and well-being they believe this Ruling Class will provide…rather than taking personal responsibility for themselves and their own. This is pretty evident throughout Europe....and certainly here in the States with 53% of the US population that happily and eagerly voted for Obama’s “hope and change” regardless of ALL the evidence to the contrary.

And sadly their hope is in a false “messiah” and the only change we’re seeing is in the speed in which we’re headed to downfall. We went from slow boat to an off the rails crazy train speeding out of control.

So…the only true hope and change will come with a change in the hearts and minds of the people who cried out for worldly kings (just like Israel did)…not realizing their hope for peace and an abundant life comes only from putting their faith and trust in the King of kings and Lord of Lords…Christ Jesus.

What blessed assurance there is in HIM!

Joh 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

I personally believe we have passed the point of no return…and now more than ever we, as the Body of Christ, need to set our hearts and minds upon being about the work of our Father’s Kingdom…sharing the gospel of Christ Jesus and making disciples.

Mat 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them.
Mat 28:17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Mat 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

It is only by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit that changes lives…and brings a peace that surpasses all understanding and unspeakable joy in times of trial and tribulation.

And we can certainly prayerfully participate in our civic duty as any good visitor sojourning through the land. However, in all we do, we do as unto the Lord…always pointing to Christ Jesus. And we can certainly vote our conscience for the politician(s) that most closely share our morals and values…

…but always with the understanding that no matter who sits on any earthly seat of authority…God still sits on His throne and He and only He will bring any true justice and righteousness!

However, we will certainly do well by learning from the example of God’s dealings with Israel.

2Ch 7:14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

There is nothing that Obama and his team can do to this nation that God cannot fix. The big question is will the American people open their eyes and see the evil that is destroying our nation for what it is, repent and turn back to God that He may heal us and our land or not? When I read Isaiah and Jeremiah I see our nation today and we can already see the signs that the sword, famine and pestilence are on our horizon.

Listen guys I mean I'm not exactly an Obama fan, but "destroying" america? really? That's taking things a bit far dont you think?

Sure Obama hasn't done that good of a job and coud be alot better (IMO), but for Pete's sake it's not like he's the anti-christ! Any damage done now can be fixed by someone who's competent.

I for one am hoping Ron Paul runs so i can vote for him in 2012. If anyone else runs I'll probably end up voting for Obama again since almost everyone else considering running would be worse. One again, not a fan of him, but he is faaaaar from the apocalypitc doom leader from hell.

In my opinion our problems started with Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and the Progressive Movement.

Our Founding Fathers freed us from a World Empire and we become a free nation They gave us a government bound by a Constitution. Since the Progressive Movement we have slowly moved back into becoming just another country that is part of the World.

Not all is lost, we still have a few people in Washington that stand for the Constitution. We still have a few journalist who report fairly. And just like when the Lord told Elijah that there were still people still in Israel who had not bowed down to Baal. The same applies here in America. There is still many people who believe in God, as well as those who still believe in the Constitution.

Good point...

The degradation of this country certainly didn't start with Obama...you are spot on regarding the Progressive Movement...Obama has indeed put the pedal to the metal though.

And yes..there are many Believers and many Constitutionalists...which I consider are the Majority in this Nation.

I'm pretty happy with the job my rep, John Culberson, is doing in DC...and a few others fighting for our Constitution...but they are sadly few and far between and are up against a leviathan in Washington.

Who are these journalists you mention that still report fairly in the mainstream media? I'd like to check them out for sure.

The point is...no matter what happens here...we look to Christ Jesus.

Php 4:11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:
Php 4:12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Sadly My Congressman Mike Ross goes with whatever is popular. However in Arkansas' other 3 Congressional Districts we have 3 freshman Congressman who are all Republican. So maybe there is some hope in Arkansas. Still Republicans have been know to compromise as well.

Indeed...what I find extremely concerning is that we even have to be discerning whom is and is not a "Constitutionalist" in our government.

Every branch and every person in government should be for the Constitution...rather than trying to rewrite what some consider to be a "fundamentally flawed document"

Here is an interesting article I posted in another thread that I don't think anyone took the time to read...but I thought it had very valuable insight:

America's Ruling Class and the Perils of Revolution

Thanks I will give it a look. You should see that flack I got it on my post Replacing One Tyrant With Another.

I have no doubt...I read through a bit of the thread....and it's pretty much the norm....same ol' same ol'. Anyway... I would very much like to read your thoughts on the article...PM me if you prefer.

As I mentioned in my other rather lengthy post...leadership in the world today...are pretty much all like-kind...and differ only by degree...

I don't spend a lot of time in these forums anymore...:sorry:...seems kinda futile really.

Who do you think are the best (or at least the most tolerable) candidates for 2012?

I like Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin, but I don't think they're electable. I like Mike Pence, but I don't think he'll run for President, choosing to run for Governor of Indiana instead. Current Governor of Indiana, Mitch Daniels may throw his hat into the ring. Former Arkansas Governor Huckabee will probably also run. I am lukewarm towards both of them, although technically, I probably do agree with them on many issues. Former Governor Jeb Bush is unelectable too. Ron Paul looks good to me against this field. Did I leave anyone out besides BHO?
