i do both

Yes me too. The more prayer the better. But what I am trying to ask is how the protestant gentlemen knows for sure that saints in heaven do not hear and take our request to God. Rev 5:8, Rev 8:4 , Tobit 12:15 , and 2 Macc 15:12-16 all seem to pinpoint toward this heavenly intercession of saints. The early Christian Fathers never had a problem with this and it was always assumed if you look at their early liturgies.

Sure if your okay with the likelihood of them not being answered, unlike prayer and supplication to our Father in heaven where the prayerss of the rightous are answered.

we dont ask the Saints to answer our prayers. how do you still not understand this after discussing it so often?

Thank you. I wrote it 4 years ago for a scripture class I took. It is nice to know that someone has read the evidences since the protestant gentlemen who told me to post it refuses to read it.

Bless you. I hope it helps you understand better.!
I did not tell you to post it. You offered and I asked for Scripture before you posted it. Also, I was sincere when I said I appreciated your efforts.

You need to understand that most people won't read huge blocks of text on a message board. Some people prefer short succinct posts for ease of discussion. Personally, since I spend so much time online searching suppliers and other various things for my business besides discussions...well, honestly, it gives me a headache. I won't do business with people who have websites with huge blocks of text either.

Which is why I asked for Scripture references and your summarizing of what they said.

As to the ECF's and other Christians, if I want to know what they think I'll buy the books and read them. However, right now I have a stack of Lewis, Luther, and Edwards that I'm working through. Plus, the prep work I'm doing for teaching a couple of upcoming classes.

Sorry you felt insulted or slighted, it was not my intent.

How do you know that they do not hear and answer the request of the Body of Christ on earth?
How do you know they do?
Furthermore it sounds like your dividing His body?

jck i get that...You hope they forward them...

they pray along with us, just like you might pray along with me for the same request.

How do you know they do?
Furthermore it sounds like your dividing His body?

ummm no, we believe in the communion of the saints on earth and in heaven, you dont. you posit a divide btwn the two, not us.
