Is it possible to practice both Buddhism and Christianity?

Wow, reading that post is perhaps like ripping a finger nail out from its root. I have never done either and God forbid I do.

I see you are new around here, so I'll cut you some slack.
Just a friendly reminder: netiquette applies to ALL members here, so if you want to trade silly insults instead of productive contributions to a discussion, prepare for a VERY short stay.

I would imagine any objections one would raise about it not being compatible with Christianity would have a counterpart in Judaism.

I suspect that doesn't make much sense, considering Paul was Jewish. I suspect that buddhism rejects the notion of (God/G-d) in general. Therefore concluding buddhism and christianity aren't compatible, the same as buddhism and judaism aren't compatible.

I've been a member longer.

And accusing my well thought out post as an insult is in fact an insult against me.

Please stop threatening other posters.

Buddhism does not reject the notion of god(s).

From the pov of Buddhist cosmology, they might explain that the Christian God is the equivalent of their Mahabrahma, a deity said to reside in the Rupadhatu (a mid-level heaven). It is said that the Mahabrahma is the ""Great Brahmā", believed by many to be the creator of the world, and having as his titles "Brahmā, Great Brahmā, the Conqueror, the Unconquered, the All-Seeing, All-Powerful, the Lord, the Maker and Creator, the Ruler, Appointer and Orderer, Father of All That Have Been and Shall Be." According to the Brahmajāla Sutta (DN.1), a Mahābrahmā is a being from the Ābhāsvara worlds" - a higher heaven - "who falls into a lower world through exhaustion of his merits and is reborn alone in the Brahma-world; forgetting his former existence, he imagines himself to have come into existence without cause. Note that even such a high-ranking deity has no intrinsic knowledge of the worlds above his own."
