New Covenant salvation is permanent because the fear of God within us prevents us from sinning to the point of loosing salvation. Jeremiah made this very clear.

What it means is that though OSAS has good intentions, it is still not biblical.

Hey folks, don't take me wrong. I believe in eternal security, I know that my salvation is solid as a rock. I fall short everyday, and at times I have left God behind. But He was quick to chastise me and bring me back.

I know I can't lose my salvation but by my own choice, as we have proof of that in scripture.

Maybe it relates to not experiencing the peace that passes all understanding.

My God is not sitting on a cloud giving giving life and snatching it away.

Eternal life, once given, cannot be taken away or it would not have been eternal in the first place.

As for suggesting that those who hold to "believing He saved them and it is done" are destined for destruction - if this is what you meant - I am hearing condemnation not conviction. This is not the voice of the Holy Spirit.

I think pronouncing condemnation on others is against the rules of CF.

Salvation is the most important thing to a Christian is it not? I want to be confident that I am saved.
I feel sure most of the time until I read some of these posts. I am a firm believer in OSAS. I don't worry so much about losing but if I have it.

I am not sure how you can believe that Jesus' death on the cross for our sins was only temporary. Must he die over and over again to insure our salvation?

It is not a matter of denying anything, it's all about letting scripture interpret it's self.

Would you feel better if we snipped Jer 31 and 32?

This is the point - until you have an interpretation that is consistent with all of scripture, better to offer your theories to the One who knows rather than broadcast your offering prematurely.

Should we be asking such a question I reference Romans 10:6. I don't wish to cause a fuss simply stated what I see and beg to be corrected if I error

Jesus cannot be mocked when people He saved always turned back to their own vomits. It is that OSAS encourages people to return to their vomit, that I declare my personal war on this evil doctrine.

You can see it that way if you like. But the question was concerning a group, the chosen, selected, predestined, etc. . It is not a judgment against any one person. Or a judgment at all. It was something I needed clarification on.

Yeah, the Trinity lives with us on the Earth for the eternity so heaven is just a temporary place and I mean the current heaven wherever it is located. One can say heaven is where the Trinity is so Earth is the new heaven and that's fine with me.
