No. They are different.
We know who Jonah was and we know how a whale functions. You may say the Jonah's incidence is a miracle instead of a parable.

But we do not know what caused the disasters to happen on Job. The description on the interactions among God, satan and Job COULD be real. Judged from the rest of the chapters (have you, at least, browsed through them?) in the Book of Job, the chance of it being real is very very high.

I know possessions are a way for a demon the latch onto a human but can demons physically leave Hell and invade Earth? Can God really hold them in hell forever?

As Demons and Hell don't exist. Why worry?
