is it ok to jam?

for many years ive not been able to socialise with friends, until last wednesday when i was invited to a jamming session at a pub. it was absolutely fantastic, anyone who wanted to play an instrument could and did, i was totally in awe they were very talented, but the next day i came down to earth with a bang. i felt guilty, and started thinking negatively. is it ok to enjoy such things?

I would say that it's fine, so long as the songs you're playing don't have vocals that contain profanity or other nasty content.
