I think this book is probably the one oddest writing in the world. I don't mean the beginning, the messages to the churches are all pretty clear. But the rest? I really don't know what to make of it. Think of the thundering voice and then another voice saying don't write down what they said. Prophets weeping because a scroll can't be opened. Horns and locusts and scrolls and seals, angels carrying fire, smoke filled heavens, souls not in Heaven but under God's altar. It's really so odd. I can hardly read that book without freaking out. Honestly it feels like something failed or made up. I never have that feeling about other scriptures in the New Testament. I know it's not really a matter of feelings but I can't make heads or tails of this book. And as far as I know it is almost never used in services of liturgical churches. What do you think of that book?

It's okay to not like our current lack of understanding regarding The Book of Revelation...but not okay to dislike The Actual Book...because it's a significant part of The Holy Text.

We are to dwell mainly upon the things which The Lord has made plain unto us; and once those things are properly integrated into our lives, we are ready to have more revealed.

It's not wrong to wonder, or question a bit...but avoid obsessing over the presently hard to understand.

Faith guides us in a "plain path", or in that which has been "made plain".

Presumption, assumption, speculation, and imagination are not under the same "guidance system", beware of their unregulated natures !

Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. <-----> Psalm 27:11

So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. <-----> Nehemiah 8:8

Pray for understanding. Patiently apply what has be given to understand. And spiritual growth will continue, even though we don't understand everything - yet.

Each of us learn somewhat uniquely, which allows for all to have something special to share with the rest. Be glad/thankful for it all !

God knows what He's doing !!!

Revelation is VERY important, after all...."ALL" of Gods words are important and none of His words should be dismissed.

It is difficult to understand because it MUST be learned from the original Koine Greek. This is how I learnt it and now ALL is quite clear as to what will happen in the future.

I don't know Greek.

Well it sure is difficult to understand from the english. But when it is correctly translated from the Greek into english, it is like reading a newspaper. It needs to be translated by using Isogogics and Exegetics of the original language.
