This past week my Son in law showed me a video his congregation helped fund. It showed people (including pastors/priests) from a number of denominations who had independently become aware of the Commands of God, including the Saturday Sabbath.

I remember reading in "The Reign of God," a first year theology text from Andrews U, where it addressed the question of Sunday worship being the mark of the beast. It said that it would not be that until God made it abundantly clear to the Sunday crowd that He wanted them to keep Saturday instead.

Is that now starting to happen?

In Vietnam we have carried that tradition from word of mouth since the beginning. It is worshipped on Sunday. In Vietnam we in our tongue it is translated literally "The LORD accepts on Sunday and that is The Sabbath Day officially in Vietnam".

Yeah - I understand that. It was declared so by the early church "fathers" who made some very bad decisions (along with many good ones) including changing the sabbath to sunday (which they had no authority to do). So for 1900 years the church at large has been violating keeping the sabbath.

Did you know my distant relative says by word of mouth that Jesus Christ died at 33 years old on Christmas day at 3am? Jesus Christ came down and died 0 A.D.; I've always thought it meant "After Death" "zero years after death".

Your "distant relative" is wrong on several counts.

The scripture is clear - HE died during the Feast of Unleavened Bread which occurs in March or April - depending on the year. Nowhere near December.

Instead of it being 3 am, the scripture says "the ninth hour" which is 3 pm.

Jesus Christ came down and died 0 A.D.; I've always thought it meant "After Death" "zero years after death".

The text in 3 gospels says that while HE hung on the cross the sun went dark from the 6th hour to the 9th hour. (when He died) If the 9th hour was 3 am, the sun would not even be up to become darkened.

Scriptural truth cannot be re-imagined in one's own culture. It must be understood in the culture and mindset of the original writers and readers.

Okay... here is a truth: Cain and Abel is scriptural truth that Cain killed Abel out of jealousy. The commandment God gave to all people is "Do not kill!" People are not robots. Although God is perfect God also gets jealous (i.e. "Who can stand jealousy?"); It is written The Book of Exodus somewhere between verses 1 through 17.

The important thing is to take a Sabbath rest, but that can be on any day of the week. Some Christians rest on Saturday, most rest on Sunday, and an increasing number rest on Wednesday or some other weekday. So long as it's a day of praying and playing unto the Lord our God, it's all good.

Where is that in the Bible? Where does the Bible say we can choose whatever day we want to rest? God is very specific, I would just do a quick search of Sabbath on your Bible app and read the scripture that is provided. This is a simple way of reviewing how important the Sabbath is to God

I was not aware that obeying God's commandments is legalism. Do you not remember what our Messiah said in Matthew 5:17? " Do not think I have come to distroy the law and the prophets. I did not come to distroy but to fullfill. For assuredly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law until ALL is fullfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so will be called LEAST in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them he shall be called GREAT in the kingdom of heaven."

Now I ask you my friend, which commandment is least and does our Messiah encourage us to break and teach others to break commandments?

Saturday It has always been the 7th day it has not always been called Saturday but that day is the Shabbat. The Jews have been keeping it for Melleniums. It is not like we have had some odd time warp and now everyone is confused about what day of the week it is. I'm really not trying to be sarcastic. I am seriously stating that it would take a real warp in time and everyone would have to have amnesia to forget. The Sabbath is very sacrid to God's people they have guarded it (kept it)

Where does He say that it does not matter in the Bible? Where is it written that He does not care if Shabbat is on a Thursday? Where does this theology come from? I am just trying to understand.

Don't be so arrogant to profess to know the mind of our Lord... Jesus instituted the 7th day Sabbath at Creation and kept it till His death, even in death, resting on the 7th day. The 7th day Sabbath was, is and will always be.

OK -fair enough.

Which day did OUR LORD (Jesus) take as a Sabbath? It does say in the gospels that it was HIS habit to be in the local synagogue on the Sabbath. If you historically trace it back (which is not that hard to do) you will find it is the day commonly called "Saturday. "

If that day was good enough for HIM, I think it is good enough for the rest of us. WWJD?
