The Jews are in a habit of taking rest on Saturday and I know this because I am fond of playing chess from time to time and love Sir Bobby Fischer who is a Jew from what I know. He always insisted on keeping The Sabbath day on Saturday. As far as I know The Jews are the original keeper of the laws. So I would have to put my pride aside and say it is ***possible*** that it be on Saturday.Absolutely true.
OK -fair enough.
Which day did OUR LORD (Jesus) take as a Sabbath? It does say in the gospels that it was HIS habit to be in the local synagogue on the Sabbath. If you historically trace it back (which is not that hard to do) you will find it is the day commonly called "Saturday. "
If that day was good enough for HIM, I think it is good enough for the rest of us. WWJD?
"What Would Jesus Do?"Absolutely true.

Since Messiah was raised on the first day of the week, are you saying that Resurrection Day (commonly but incorrectly called "Easter") was on a Monday?Furthermore if we take Monday to be the first day of the week that is then considered day number one.
Jesus! Speaking for myself we are starting to argue over the day of rest. The Holy Bible says in Proverbs "Leave an argument before it starts!" However I will agree that it does say the "7th" day is the Sabbath day!!! So Sunday. However most Vietnamese go to church at various times because their work in the world varies. Some work 3 days out of the week except they work long hours and are on call. So they continue to work 40 hours except it is compressed into 3 days. I don't know all the answers however in the USA you take 2 days off and work 5 days a week.Since Messiah was raised on the first day of the week, are you saying that Resurrection Day (commonly but incorrectly called "Easter") was on a Monday?
Indeed.Jesus! Speaking for myself we are starting to argue over the day of rest.
Wrong. "Sunday" is the first day of the week; regardless of what the godless ISO says. However I will agree that it does say the "7th" day is the Sabbath day!!! So Sunday.
Culture is a moot point as God decides what is right, NOT public practice or even belief. However most Vietnamese go to church at various times because their work in the world varies. Some work 3 days out of the week except they work long hours and are on call.
Please don't hurt my family! I don't know what ISO means. I'm from Vietnam. You sound so mean!!!!!!!!!!!! Please someone watch over this person so he or she doesn't hurt my family.Indeed.
This thread is about God revealing to people what the true Sabbath day is.

It is the European International Standards Organization. In the 1980s or 90s they re-defined the calendar to have Monday as the first day of the week.I don't know what ISO means. I
Not sure where you got the idea that I would hurt you or your family. I live half a world away from you on the east coast of the US. I do not even have a passport so I cannot leave here even if I wanted to. I am just testifying to God's truth. Please someone watch over this person so he or she doesn't hurt my family.
Sunday may be chu nhat but the thứ bảy is the word used for saturday which means seventh. Almost every language throughout the world except english uses the word Sabbath or seventh for what we call saturday, the seventh day of the week. In honour of my two real parents since they might pass away sometimes in the future and I don't want to regret I have to insist that The Sabbath is Sunday because in Vietnam we call it "Chu Nhat" and it literally translate to "GOD accepts (on Sunday)".
No - Monday is the 2nd day of the week.Monday is the first day of the week.
Back to your question Dave... yes, this is exactly what is beginning to happen. We are told that the Holy Spirit (latter rain) will be poured out in greater measure than it was on the day of Pentecost (early rain). This past week my Son in law showed me a video his congregation helped fund. It showed people (including pastors/priests) from a number of denominations who had independently become aware of the Commands of God, including the Saturday Sabbath.
I remember reading in "The Reign of God," a first year theology text from Andrews U, where it addressed the question of Sunday worship being the mark of the beast. It said that it would not be that until God made it abundantly clear to the Sunday crowd that He wanted them to keep Saturday instead.
Is that now starting to happen?
Indeed. Exciting to see this stuff happening!Expect to start seeing more manifestations of God's Spirit moving upon men.... be aware, however, that Satan will be raising a false religious revival, complete with miracles, among Christianity. We need to pray for spiritual discernment and wisdom that if possible, we be be not deceived.
Thank you very much! Muchas Gracias! You are right. Then why does Sunday translate to "God accepts" literally? I guess he accepts you because you are clean and ready to do the new week's work having rested on the Sabbath. DavO-Ohev you won. hehe Seriously I'm wrong and I lost! My pride cost me to fall way down to nothing.Sunday may be chu nhat but the thứ bảy is the word used for saturday which means seventh. Almost every language throughout the world except english uses the word Sabbath or seventh for what we call saturday, the seventh day of the week.
The idea of sunday being the 7th day and monday being the first is a modern invention and not rooted in history. It is satans attempt to obscure the 7th day Sabbath
I don't know the communist system however my Catholic church in Vietnam tells me Monday is the 2nd day of the week so to honour my real my who is true Catholic you and my mom are right. No - Monday is the 2nd day of the week.
I understand your godless communist government tells you something else but trust me and trust GOD that Sunday is the first day of the week.
What day of the week does your catholic church celebrate Easter on? Pentecost?
