Until Moses left Egypt for the desert, he was still born and raised as an Egyptain. While he had jewish parents he was really trained and brought up in all the ways of the Egyptians. Accordingly circumcising his son, may have simply been over looked. The fact his wife Zippoah, knew what to do was they were Midianites who were decendants of Abraham and his second wife, Keturah, accordingly where not Hebrews, therefore their kids where not part of the covenant. Since Zippoah father was a Midianite Priest, who probably did not perform circumcisions because there was no reason to, Zippoah did not have her boys circumcise, and Mose simply went along with it.

But Zipporah ended up being the one to insist on carrying out the circumcision. Then she was mad at Moses because she was the one who had to do it. She threw the foreskins at his feet and said, "You really turned out to be a bridegroom of blood to me."

What did she mean when she said that, and why didn't Moses circumcise his sons when he saw Zipporah go get the knife?

EX 4:24
At a lodging place on the way, the LORD met Moses and was about to kill him.

The Lord met Moses is taken by many to mean that Moses was stricken ill or near death. He was in no shape to be doing any surgery on anyone. Zipporah did not agree with the practice of circumcision, or at least was not to happy with the process. She was disgusted and unpset that she had to do it to save her husband's life. After she was done she flung the foreskins, as a final symbolic gesture.

Those are good excuses, but not good reasons. His son wasn't born just the previous day, his kid was not a new born at all. Why didn't he circumcise his son?

Because he thought, "I'm going back to Egypt. It's dangerous. I'll probably get killed. but I don't want my son to be identified with me, or with the Hebrews. If I circumcise him, everyone will see that he's a jew and they'll kill him, too."

In other words, Moses lacked faith in God's ability to do what He said He would do. It was lack of faith that nearly killed Moses, not failure to keep the law.

Actually, I believe it means it doesn't matter "how long" you work for Him. Everyone that finishes the race will get the pay He promised.

Are we not supposed to work as hard as we can in serving Christ?

Also He went out to find the workers, cutting each group a separate arrangement. And He also when out at the 11th hour, you give them one last chance.

When I read Matthew 20:1-16 in the parable of "The Workers Paid Equally", I can't help relating it to different groups of workers and the deals, the Landowner made which each group who came throughout the day. They were all paid the same reward, but their arrangement, i.e. what was required of them, was different depending on what hour of the day they approach the Landowner.
