Is it alright for a Christian to donate to a non Christian?

what about being forsaken after you are born?
is that not more important?
my mother forsake me after being born. she didn't believe in abortion either. my existence is a regret to me.
i had rather she had an abortion.
It saddens me to hear of such pain. I will pray for your healing, that you would know how valuable you are and how much our Heavenly Father loves you. I hope that you will find examples of His love among those people with whom you associate, that you would become whole. I cannot pretend to understand what you are going through, but I still wish for your healing.

I was too. I grew up in an insane dysfunctional foster home. I should've died umpteen times. I now have three children. I don't regret that i was born, nor that they were. I have a heart for the forsaken now, because i was forsaken.

As stated previously, I'm with Dr. Seuss on this one.

it would help that non Christian, but shouldn't there be a moral standard..?
to donate to a Christian rather than a non Christian..? (btw, this creates an us vs them mentality.. which is.. dangerous)
but that causes a problem too because a lot of believers are Christian in name only and no body has knowledge of everything, we don't know.. perhaps that non Christians is far closer to God than the Christian?
What should a Christian do?
Personally no issues here. I donate to St Judes Childrens hospital monthly and they are unaffiliated with a Christian church. It's called St Judes because the founder Danny Thomas, a Syrian Maronite Catholic named it after his church patron saint. He did not affiliate the cancer hospital with a church as he wanted all welcome. Which was the foundation of the early church where they took in all sick and wounded regardless of background or faith.

And that is the point. Christ came to heal the weak, sick and sinners. As Christians we walk in His footsteps.

I don't have a lot of money, but I've donated to persecution.org which is to help persecuted Christians. I don't really have enough money to donate elsewhere, but i tell myself that if I had more money I would also donate to the homeless in my country and possibly something like UNICEF. Jesus I would think would want Chrstians to help everyone, but the reason I donate to persecuted Christians is because I figure that most people that aren't Christian or even are Christian but don't think about the persecuted church won't donate towards persecuted Christians. That being said there are persecuted Christians that help even the people persecuting them and I feel that that is a true expression of the Christian faith, an act of truly loving your enemies. I find that very touching, I don't think I could bring myself to do that.

What should a Christian do?

"Love your neighbor" isn't exclusive to other believers. Neither is "give cheerfully" or "give, and ask for nothing in return". In the latter case the assumption is, in fact, of a hostile person: "If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt as well"; "if you are demanded to walk one mile, walk two miles", etc. Christian love and charity ought to be paramount: offering ourselves freely in love to others in the name of Jesus.
