I don't see any reason why having a crush on a fictional character would be wrong.

I have tons of fictional crushes, it's not causing me any harm.

If it turned into an all consuming obsession, that would hint that there is most likely an underlying medical problem that needs to be addressed. All the same, the crush itself is still not "wrong", but the obsession may be unhealthy would need treatment by a professional.

Anyway, to the OP: I see both sides and if the crush goes beyond then that's a problem. Having a crush isn't all physical, it's mainly personality, at least with me it is.

Fictional characters don't exist, so I don't see why it would matter what religion they are.

I guess I can understand someone having a crush on a real-life person or character. They are written for the purpose of having us hate them, love them, fall in love with them, and any other type of emotion we feel. But I've personally never understood falling for an animated person. Seems unnatural. But I reckon that can also be a result of falling for the story.

If the character is too perfect, it can bite you in the rear when you're trying to find someone to date. And to the married, I would say don't go there, enjoy your spouse.

I think it's ok for us to have fictional crushes. As long as we keep it in pure way, but it's the same like with all crushes. Hypoteticaly there is a risk that we would ignore real people (maybe possible crushes) 'cause we would be too focused on the fictional one. But if the fictional crush in healthy (not obsession ) then it's ok.

Also when mentioning married character, I'd consider it the same way as if it was real person. It's fine to accept that s/he is attractive, clever, cool, great person, adorable (and that you'd like your future husband/wife to be like them in some way )... as long as you keep it in a pure way, fully realizing that they are already married.

No worries there. My fictional crushes look quite ordinary people when not wearing makeup and I know they're just "in character". Look how ordinary they behave in interviews!

If u really belong to Christ. You'll grow to know what is harmless and what isn't. When you are in a relationship with someone it is good to focus only on that person. As a single person I think there is nothing wrong with fantasizing as long as it doesn't make you lose hope and makes you indifferent to the available beauties that are around. No wonder why some people are doomed to stay single forever. It is all in the mind. Some persons are incredibly picky, too focused on stars and models to appreciate average people that could provide them with a nice relationship. Some women are still waiting for a Captain America type of man. They don't realize they're 4 or 6 at most asking for a 10 and + alpha male. It is important to know your rank. Paul said it in the Bible. No one should have an idea of himself that goes beyond what's real.
