the chief priests and rulers of israel wanted to take jesus by craft, subtilty because they feared their country would be taken from them from the romans. their only concern was not upsetting the people of israel on feast days. israel did not defend themselves by killing christ neither is israel defending itself out of fear of the palestinians, just as israel was the betrayer and murderer of christ, they are now betraying those palestinians and murdering them christians should know and believe different to the jews of judaism there is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear as fear has torment....
John 11:47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.
48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
Matthew 26:3 Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
4 And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.
5 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.
Mark 14:After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
2 But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.
1 John 4:18There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
