HELL...YES!
Jesus should be the tie-breaker. He did not use the OT word (Sheol="grave") when referring to "hell".
Also notice the SPIRIT does not go to the temporary "grave", only the Body + Soul combo for judgment/resurrection.
Matthew 10:28 (NASB)
“Do not fear those who kill the body (Man) but are unable to kill the soul;
but rather fear Him (God) who is able to destroy both soul and body in "hell".

Hell is the place of the future punishment called "Gehenna" or "Gehenna of fire".
This was originally the valley of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the city were cast out and burned;
a fit symbol of the wicked and their future destruction.
