  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Does it even matter whether one prospers in this life or not? The wicked are murdering their own eternal souls.

If this life is as a breath that passes away, what we reap in eternity is of far more consequence.

Yes, it does matter. Otherwise there'd be no point in asking Christians to follow Jesus in this world. It matters that people here treat each other right. And it matters that people are hardening themselves to the point where they'll be excluded from eternal life.

I understand the point you're trying to make. But the attitude that this world doesn't matter has produce problems among Christians. I doubt that Jesus would accept that injustice doesn't matter because it's only temporary.

My apologies. I may have said things in a way easy to misunderstand, but in didn't mean them to be taken to that degree. If that's what others are hearing, then I thank you for pointing that out. :)

Certainly justice in general is important (though it doesn't always happen that way). And how we treat each other is probably THE most important thing in life, or among the most important.

I was replying to the idea that God sometimes allows the wicked to "get away with" their wickedness, apparently, and does not stop or immediately punish them. In that case - I see God's delay of punishment as not really important. The wicked may prosper on the earth, but that doesn't mean we should consider their lot a good one, since in the process they are murdering their eternal souls and are to be pitied, not envied.

I hope that makes it more plain. :)
