Is fossil evidence that strong of a case for evolution?

This seems like a good thread in which to post a graphic.

Me thinks not. You can't get from New Jersey to Mt. Ararat without plate tectonics, and that doesn't even work.
You can't get from one continent to seven in 6,000 years either but that doesn't seem to phase YECs either. They just invoke some kind of fast moving continental drift just like the invoke SuperDuperHyperEvolution to explain how we get all the species we have today from the ones that fit on the Ark.

Somehow, you can never seem to be able to pin down a YEC on what slowed down the fast continental drift/hyper evolution to the rates we see in action today.

Even AV's embedded age with/without history can't explain that one. Not that he cares.

You know, that's an excellent point, actually. I'm surprised myself or no one else has seen this. What was the point of building the ark so big, if the physical space wasn't needed?
Noah invited all on the Ark.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

So look at the map below and tell me how New Jersey became the Mountains of Ararat?
What do you mean New Jersey became the mountains of Ararat?

They were probably about 2000 miles apart at the time.

The Flood was global, not local.

So if God stepped in and pushed (or pulled) all 48 states apart in the continental U.S., you would consider that "continental drift"?

By that rationale it could have been a thimble. The passages don't hint, suggest or allow for any such inference of it being a TARDIS.

The passages don't hint, suggest or allow for any such inference.

So, what, not all 8 but just Noah taking care of them all?

Who's the 9th person? The bible states 8 in total.

Please don't encourage his trolling.

No, that would most definitely be miraculous as there are zero fault lines that follow state boundaries.

Since you are trying to compare the two, perhaps you could favor us with a Bible verse or two about God pushing the continents around.

That Bible verse is not talking about Noah at all.

Even if God did invite everyone aboard the Ark (which He didn't) there would be no reason for it to be larger than necessary for the largest animal to get in. If it is larger on the inside than the outside, capacity is irrelevant.

According to AV Noah lived and built the Ark in New Jersey.

Well, it wasn't called New Jersey, then. Honestly, with the Flood scenarios of rapidly moving continents and huge upside-down waterfalls shooting out of the middle Atlantic, Noah could have lived on what is now the floor of the South China Sea for all we know.

Not really related to embedded age, but interesting to think about...for 2 minutes.

What does any of this have to do with fossil evidence for evolution?

Can we please have ONE thread where AV doesn't make it all about him and you guys help him to do so?

This is the verse that is used to support it:

Genesis 10:25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

Would they have believed Noah's invitation, if Noah would have built a yacht instead?

Clowns are more entertaining than sterile scientists.

What do you guys have to say to each other anyway?

Larry: E=MC[sup]2[/sup]
Curly: Yup ... Woo Woo Woo Woo Woo
Moe: Ahhhh, shut up! [BONK!]

Sorry

Sometimes trolls are entertaining, but I agree, it would be nice to actually discuss science for once and dispense with all the rubbish.
