I am going to blame scientists and academia for dragging our morals down to the point that it has affected non-scientific entities; such as the Supreme Court, our churches, our TV programming, our Fifth Estate, right down to our grocery stores.

Labeled or not they are still genes which are being studied. They likely have temporary names for the scientists and will be labeled when the studies are completed.
