Of course, they did. It was the "imaginary voices". lolSo early believers did not have God's word in any form?
God's word came to us in one form or another. But his word also tells us your ideas are not in line with him.Of course, they did. It was the "imaginary voices". lol
Moses took dictation.

No one has denied that God can do anything...and anything he wants to do. That has never been at issue.Abraham had no bible and God spoke to him, and he could live a godly life.
What stops God from speaking again to someone? he does as he please, you can't shut him up.
Scripture says the prophetic gifts and tongues ceased with the Apostles who distributed them. If you have scripture saying otherwise, post it.Abraham had no bible and God spoke to him, and he could live a godly life.

If you hear voices in your head and think it is God, try to stay under the radar. They'll be watching you like a hawk, and for good reason. But you deny also that God speaks anything, something... to christians? even if its not prophecy? if you do deny, i give just a friendly reminder that you are wrong, God does speak today.
The fact is, though, that everybody who thinks he hears voices or says that God delivered a prophesy to him is not necessarily right about that. But you deny also that God speaks anything, something... to christians? even if its not prophecy? if you do deny, i give just a friendly reminder that you are wrong, God does speak today. It is essential in a relationship to have some form of communication you know.

Yet the minute anyone questions the accuracy of the claim, or how we would even know, the reply that comes back is "But God can do anything. Don't you believe that?" as though this proves that every claim is automatically valid.

It's the manner of communication we are differing on.God communicates with people, in the entire bible he communicated, why stop now.
Cmon. God occasionally communicating "with people" doesn't mean that anyone and everyone who claims to have heard voices has received a gift of the Holy Spirit.God communicates with people, in the entire bible he communicated, why stop now.

Very well, but you know that a lot has been said on that score during the course of this thread, most of it recently, and you were the one who referred to God communicating. In any case, the same answer I gave would apply to any of the (other) Gifts mentioned in Corinthians.I'm not talking about prophecy or voices...
...i say God can make christians understand something, specially about your life, for me is essential to having a relationship if God doesn't appears at all in your life, what is the point?

We all agree on the importance of having a relationship with God.
I don't recall anyone saying that, but in any case, it is not necessary to err on the totally opposite end of the possibilities, to go from one extreme to the other.Yes but some here believe God doesn't speak to people at all...
No, people who make that claim mean it literally. What's more, if you want to speak about feeling something, that's not one of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit anyway. Not according to scripture. Yet that is what this thread is supposed to deal with.and its 'hearing voices' if God reveals or say or make you feel something that lets you understand. 'fuzzy feelings' is another one i heard...
Not currently.Are you a teacher? I wasn't.

God communicates with people spiritually.
You are claiming authority where you have none.God's word came to us in one form or another. But his word also tells us your ideas are not in line with him.
All thought is voice. All thought is loudness. To prove this to yourself, take any sentence you can think of, and sing the words to yourself in your mind, to your favorite tune.Usually there is no voices, God makes people understand things in their interior and you can tell if it is from God or not.
