• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is complaining sin?

paul based the gospel off of a complaint response, hab 2.
Paul's letter to the Corinthians ( I ) is a huge parcel of complaints , isn't it ?

And , his letters to Rome and Galatia deal much with his same complaint concerning the Law to the Gentiles .

just thinkin'....."complaints" i think, are sometimes mis-construed as "grumbling" and "attacking" like the Israelites with Moses, who had temper tantrums about not liking the manna, etc.

The "complaints" that David and others brought to our Abba were from the depths of their hearts, souls, and minds, that needed to be expressed. Who ELSE did they have? Who ELSE do we have. They were burdened. They "lamented" to the Lord. They were suffering. God NEVER admonished us to be "stoic". THat's a lie from the pit of the enemy's abode. The enemy will do ANYTHING to keep us from continually going to the Lord about everything. Why is that? It's because he knows that's where we get our strength, restoration, healing, love, and "hugs" from. Yes, hugs.

John, was called the disciple Jesus loved. Was that possibly because John had no trouble at all laying his weary head on Jesus' chest?

Sometimes we need to just crawl up on our Abba's lap and lay our lamenting, weary heads on His chest and STAY there for a while.
Ah ... someone who understands . I was going to write a post on this . However , people think that a complaint is a complaint is a complaint .
