• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My name is David, I'm 20 years old, and I want to share with you a ministry that changed my life this year! I did ministry in San Diego and traveled across the Country through a ministry at the Rock Church called TWELVE. We reached over 100,000 students and allowed God to work on us for 9 months.

I wanted to post this up to see if anyone's interested in going as well as ask the question, why don't parents and churches think college is always the next step a lot of times? Why not give a year to go and serve the Lord?

Check it out below:

Dear Friend,

We are looking for individuals, 18-25ish years old, who are willing to commit to a 9-month discipleship experience based out of the Rock Church in San Diego, California. Throughout the 9-month experience, you will discover who God created you to be, you will be discipled for Christ-likeness, and equipped for a life of ministry. Get ready to travel the world and love people through missions, school assemblies, and outreaches. We have 9 open spaces for enrollment, are you in? View our one minute Twelve commercial, and check out twelveexperience (.org)

One more thing, Twelve is not for future pastors or leaders, it’s for Jesus-followers. Are you willing “lay down your net” and follow Him?

Everyone I know who went to one year ministry schools/programs ended up with nowhere to go after it was over. It all sounds great, but statistics show that most people who say "I'm going to (fill in the blank) for awhile, and then go to college" never actually make it to college.

You can serve God and go to college simultaneously. It's not an either/or. If you feel called to do something like this, don't let me stop you. Just keep what I have said in mind.

God bless.

This assumes that college will be a step in your life, no matter in which order.

I may never find myself having gone to college, but you never know.

Currently I'm deciding what to do with my life, and it looks like it's going in the direction of CAD design at a trade school.

After that, I hope to move up in which ever company I work for, and express an extreme interest in learning more about the subject, and becoming more educated about it.

This is my way of serving God. I believe he is the supreme architect/engineer that created everything we see before us, and it's my way of praising him to do what he does on a much smaller scale.
