A modern comparison might be the difference between someone who consults a physician to diagnose an illness vs. someone consulting a witch doctor.

As long as the seeker does not know that one (or both) is/are a witch doctor,

the results are about the same, with often some favoring the non-professional lower paid or free one.

Sure, flip a coin to make a decision between the two of you, and the argument is over. But that is leaving the decision up to CHANCE, which is not divination. The moment you use flipping a coin to consult Fate or a god, it becomes divination.

Secondly, if you had actually read my post properly you would have seen that I asked if casting lots was divination.
I did not attempt to make the two similar.
It would appear you would prefer people not to ask questions and live in ignorance than to find out the truth.
