Im sorry, I do tend to misunderstand from time to time though I do have reasoning in my mind when I post scripture thats not to say that you should understand Im not the best communicator but I am sincerely trying to understand what others are saying here . God blessI never said we confess sins to get saved, maybe you are taking them out of context or there is some misunderstanding?
With respect, you keep quoting random verses without much reasoning. We do all know the scriptures.
I’m sorry, I do tend to misunderstand from time to time… though I do have reasoning in “my” mind when I post scripture… that’s not to say that you should understand… I’m not the best communicator… but I am sincerely trying to understand what others are saying here…. God bless
Living holy does not make us holy. Having the holiness of God imparted to our Spirit enables us to live holy... but clearly if God alone is holy... we fall short in of ourselves and His holiness is necessary...I'm not quite sure what you guys are talking about either...but
1 Peter 1:13-16
13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, Be holy, for I am holy.
Yes I did, why did Christ fulfil all the law? The law was fulfilled not to make Christ holy but to make us holy. He is the great high priest and no doctrine of justification can save you, the doctrine only has power because we have an advocate under covenant. ALL OUR justification is with Christ and between Christ and the Father in holy and eternal covenant. Forgiveness is in him and justification is in him. He has the right to present us or deny us to the Father. Those commandments are now not under Mosaic Law they are in Christ. The curse of the Mosaic Law has lost its sting only because we have an advocate and continue to abide in him by faith.
I have no clue what you guys are talking about, but I saw this question and it reminded me of these verses:
Hebrews 9:16-22
16 For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives. 18 Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood. 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.” 21 Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Hebrews 9:23-28
23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another— 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
Matthew 26:26-28
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Galatians 3:13-14
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Deuteronomy 21:23
His body shall not remain overnight on the three, but you shall surely bury him that day so that you do not defile the land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, for he who is hanged is accursed of God.
I'm not quite sure what you guys are talking about either...but

Evidently, these dudes didn't seem to think sono... Jesus was both man and God.
Living holy does not make us holy. Having the holiness of God imparted to our Spirit enables us to live holy... but clearly if God alone is holy... we fall short in of ourselves and His holiness is necessary...
It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, that is, our holiness (1 Corinthians 1:30)
I chose those verses because the question was, "what does the commandments had to do with the cross?"hi..yes, i am trying to ask lion king, what commandments had to do with the cross? because that was the only thing, that made us holy, the cross,
heb 10;10, and gal 2;21 says is righteousness came by law, Christ died for nothing. In other words, my contention with our dear bro, is that only the cross made us holy, be he seems to think commands did it.
and this proves it too...the cross made us holy, and nothing else made us holy.
Praise God for allowing His Son to die on that cross so that we may receive eternal life.col 1;20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
21 And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, 22 he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him,
i just asked a simple question, what did commands have to do with the cross?
hi bro, i said that to lion king.
hi..yes, i am trying to ask lion king, what commandments had to do with the cross? because that was the only thing, that made us holy, the cross,
heb 10;10, and gal 2;21 says is righteousness came by law, Christ died for nothing. In other words, my contention with our dear bro, is that only the cross made us holy, be he seems to think commands did it.

God alone is Holy...Yes, the blood of Jesus Christ has made the world holy, but not all are holy. So, how does one become holy as the LORD desires?
[I think she's simply saying that flesh does not count for anything before God.
And yet the genealogy of Jesus must be important - because it's mentioned in the gospelsOnly the Spirit does. For example, being born of Israel (being a physical descendant of Abraham) means nothing before the LORD, what only matters is being born of the Spirit (believing in Jesus Christ).
I think Lion King is trying to say that one needs to accept Christ, because it's true, not all is holy and that you cannot be holy without Christ.God alone is Holy...
Hebrews 12:9-11
10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Revelation 15
4 Who will not fear you, O Lord,
and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come
and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed.
I think Lion King is trying to say that one needs to accept Christ, because it's true, not all is holy and that you cannot be holy without Christ.
And we're not trying to say that we're "holy like God" but that God have asked us to "be holy" (Ephesians 1) and "be holy in our conducts" (1 Peter 1).
God alone is Holy...
Hebrews 12:9-11
10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. So the incarnation doesn't matter?
And yet the genealogy of Jesus must be important - because it's mentioned in the gospels
We're called to be God.
Dear God....No!
Just no!
