Is anyone else embrassed to still be a virgin?

I'm 28 and I have to be honest, there are times when I'm embrassed to still be a virgin at this age. I know that according to the bible I'm doing what's right by waiting for marriage, but what if I never get married. The thought of dying a virgin bothers me!! Does anyone else feel this way?

Hmmm... Still thinking about it to be honest. With all the Diseases out there? hmmm I don't know. I'd say with all the crazinesss out there... I just realized I'm stronger for being a virgin then not. Sorry to the non v's. Don't mean anything wrong, but you get my drift...Don't give in the moments and the many many times that temptation has come to you in real life, but you stood your ground and said, "No I want something more." That's what I mean.

not embarrassed at all. All the friend's I have are mostly under my age and there not virgin's..so for me to be the only 1 make's me kinda proud~ There is way more to a relationship than just having sex, and sadly some guy's only want that out of a relationship.

well outside of people asking, virgin or non.. why strangers feel it appropriate to ask about my sex life is just disturbing.

Never had the experience of being embarrassed over this. I lost my virginity prior to leaving high school.

But I don't feel I gained anything great by losing it. At least - it wasn't a badge of honor or pride - not in the circumstance in which it happened.

Hey, I'm still a virgin, and I'm not embarrassed. Sometimes you can kinda use it as a selling point. Other times, I duno it's just the last thing I ever really think about.

I'm fine with waiting for the right one. Nothing wrong with being a bit choosy.

Well personally I don't hold sex to a very high pedestal, it's really just a mere activity to me. I'm not very good at love anyways, and being hurt is fun so who really cares lol.

I'm not planning to rush anything, especially with my current living situation. If they knew what I was doing it would tear them up inside and I'm not sure if I'd be kicked out or not.

Well I'm all up for giving sex meaning, but I don't personally believe sex always has to be meaningful. You can have both ways, and sometimes the meaningless sex can have a special place in your heart. 9/10 sex for me wouldn't mean much.

If I had a Wife, I wouldn't want sex to always mean something, sometimes it's just nice to fool around for no reason with little emotional attachment.

It's not hard to get an active sex life, I'm just saying right now I'd rather stay away from it, especially with the things I'd like to do.

The hurt comment was just to cover any basis about how meaningless sex can leave you a hurt and broken person lol. Honestly that happening doesn't really phase me, it might make me sound like a monster but so be it.

There are just my honest thoughts and feelings.

I hope my post isn't seen as promoting per-marriage sex, because I'm not. Don't do it, it's bad lol.

I should not be embarrassed for being responsible. Aside from the moral command God gives to save it for marriage, there is a good reason why it's unwise to do something so fleeting that has longlasting spiritual and practical consequences. That's so awesome that we have a Creator that knows His design and shows us grace by revealing His law to us!

If there is anything that one should feel embarrassed about, it's letting society and its culture trick you into believing that one's worth is defined by their virginal status. When it comes down to it, whose opinion do you care more about, God's or man's?
