  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Actually I'd say just the opposite... I enjoyed Iron Man way more than Spiderman... though it was probably due to the fact that I was completely burnt out on Spiderman when I saw it, having been a huge fan of the comic books and I knew next to nothing about the origins/plot of Iron Man, so it was new, fresh, etc. Probably just me though :p

The beginning was slow, a poor location, but it took off after that. It was some decent fun.

The kids liked Indiana Jones better.

I read some complaints about the "sleep-over" on a Christian review site as a deal breaker but it actually proved to be a character development point.

Well, yes. It reveals to the audience that Stark (the Ironman), was a womanizer. That's supposed to be a part of character development, but it was crudely done...

I actually thought that Iron Man was the best movie Marvel has done. The cast was incredible (Robert Downey Jr was an amazing choice as Tony Stark), the story was good, there was enough CG, but it wasn't overdone.

Yeah, I saw the movie 5 times in the theater. I've never seen any movie more then twice before this one.
