Excellent movie. Best comic book adaptation since Spiderman... absolutely loved it.

If anyone goes to see it be sure you syat until the credits roll... there is a bonus scene at the end!



Sure to be the beginning of a series.

I loved it. They just announced a sequel due out in '10. How much you want to bet the bad guy will be the Mandarin? He group that captured him was the Ten Rings...

Did you know there was a rumour going around that they will have that Cloverfield monster in the Transformers 2 movie nikki? Not sure how much of truth is in that though but I think that would be rather sweet to see.

Summer 2011. They are planning on Captain America, Iron Man 2, and Thor all in 2010. Avengers is in 2011.

I thought Iron Man was a great movie, the best Marvel adaptation since Spiderman or the X-men. I didn't stay for the credits either, so I guess I will have to go back and see it again.

Unless you have read Ultimate Avengers the scene after the credits really doesn't mean much. But Mr. Jackson is a dead ringer for Nick Fury. There is a panel in the comic when they are discussing the movie adaptation of the super hero group. Fury mentioned Samuel Jackson as the perfect actor to play him. Johnny Depp got the nod for Stark.

DH & I went to see this last night and it was AWESOME!! Most comic book heroes I'm familiar with (Spiderman, Superman, Fantastic Four, etc.) but I was totally in the dark about the origins of Iron Man. Can't wait for the second movie and all the rest coming out (saw a preview for Incredible Hulk... looks MUCH better than the previous attempt).

My kids want to see it so, as is our custom, my wife and I drove to town to see it first to "see if it's fit to see", as the old Statler Brothers' song says.

The movie, itself, is very good, with no profanity and the violence, while there's plenty of it, is not very graphic.

The deal breaker was a sex scene early on in the movie, in which the Stark meets a woman and immediately has sex with her.

Other than that, great movie.

In the Ultimate universe (i.e., Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate Hulk, etc.), Nick Fury is black.

I read somewhere that the creators of Nick Fury in the Ultimate universe asked Samuel Jackson if they can model the character after him, and Jackson gave them his permission.
