  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That sounds great, Mudbug! We are using US Air, it was 891 out of Denver when we booked and we paid outright so the price sticks (if we didn't, it could change). We went with CIE tours to book our hotel rooms and car rental. Those are just the things that we are stressed about on trips, so it's nice to not have to worry about them.
I'll definitely fill you in on the trip :) I'm so thrilled to go. I'm getting more excited by the day-- reading up on my Southern Irish history, trying to cut back our itinerary so I can really appreciate the places I do see.
Trying to decide between Rock of Cashel or Glendalough. Both look stunning, of course. But our first day of driving is going to be a whirlwind. I'm hoping I might go back and explore longer some day, but I want to make sure I hit the places I really want to see this time around just in case.

Blythe Ann,
891 sounds like a really good price...anything below 900 would be good for us. I have signed up for updates for price quotes from the cheap ticket places on the internet. I was told by a travel agent that the best prices usually come up about 6 months prior to the trip. We really want to go non-stop so we can be assured of arriving with all of our luggage:D.

I know you are soooo looking forward to going and I think you are going at a good time (weather wise). Might be a little cool and rainy, but hey, it's IRELAND.....supposed to be cool and rainy in November, right?
